Whats the best Pokemon game to get?

Best Edition evar.

I played Yellow, Gold and Ruby and I enjoyed Gold the most. Because Crystal is Gold / Silver with some extra's, I think that's the best one to get.

Get Ruby, or just wait for Emerald. Seriously, the remakes are good, but nowhere near the level of depth as the previous two. But Emerald looks to offer an all-new story, as well as new Pokemon so like I said, wait for that.

:lol This thread reminds me of a few years back when the whole world was engulfed in Pokemon.

Personally I would advise you to not waste your money and

a) save up for Metal Gear Solid 3 if you don't have it

b) buy another game

c) buy a load of booze.

Yellow, because Pikachu has no badge restrictions. You can just level this piss out of him and rape everyone.

If by more depth you mean berry mixing and beauty contests, I'd say you aren't missing much. All subjective of course.
The world you explore is much more diverse and vast in Ruby.

Uh, you mean seven years ago?

My fav edition was the Gold/Silver ones, just for the mystery gift feature alone. Heh, me and my buddies would always do them before class started. I remember being quite happy when I finally got the snes for my house in the game from this.

Yea, Jr High rocked.

I'd say Fire Red or Leaf Green, since the original Pokémon lineup is still far and away the best.

The best game, though, if you don't mind the outdated graphics and slightly crappier monsters is Gold/Silver.

Pikachu and the word rape in one post is just wrong. Pika Pika.

I'm pretty sure badge restrictions are only for Pokémon that you get through trading.

IAWTP, but the original games (Red/Blue) and the remakes have a charm that endures.
