It seems to me arcade boards are far behind consumer console/PC hardware. Gone are the days when arcades were like two generations ahead (see Model 3 in 1996). Even the days when there was parity seem gone.
Case in point, the most advanced Sega board i can find information about is the ALLS MX2.1
But this version of the hardware still only has an 8th gen i5 CPU and a GTX 1660 GPU. That's below minimum requirements for any modern PC game nowadays and only slightly better than a PS4 pro.
But it's difficult to find such information for later arcade releases. Maybe i'm missing something? Are there more powerful arcades i don't know about?
