Mine is of Lone Wolf and Cub, a classic Manga title originating in the 70s. It's based in the Japan feudal era, and I highly recommend if you enjoy Samurai epics.
I've always loved the artwork so I chose it. Nothing too symbolic.
Was watching the 90s X-Men cartoon, when there's a brief reaction shot of 4 guys in Russia reacting to Omega Red busting in. One of those men was so clearly Hitler that I just bursted out laughing. I had to make him my avatar.
Hunter X Hunter 2011 is the story behind my current avatar, an animated adaptation of the Togashi Shounen manga. I love the series, and felt like having Pariston's shady ass as my avatar.
Paul Heyman led a revolutionary wrestling promotion called Extreme Championship Wrestling. He's one of my idols since he can turn a weakening into a god with words.
I've gone through several Nabbit avatars since I started GAFing, but this one is my fave. It's a Pushmo that BowieZ kindly made for me. I've solved the Pushmo itself and it was quite tricky and satisfying to beat. As for Nabbit, I dunno. I really like him. He's charming and mischievous. Just a neat character and worthy addition to the Mushroom Kingdom.
He's the (now dead) lead singer, guitar player and talk-boxer for Zapp, which is a seminal funk band from the 70s/80s/90s.
Very influential and sampled, and responsible for a lot of the sound of 90s West Coast hip hop. Also pretty much the blueprint for bands like Chromeo. He was the guy singing the chorus in the Dre/2pac 'California Love' video. Really one of the most amazing musicians ever, but a lot of people outside of funk/hip hop fans have no idea who the hell he is.
If you've played a GTA game you've probably heard his music though...
