What's the story behind your current avatar?

This is the original avatar I used when I previously signed up. I bought a Meat Boy plastic toy thingy a few years ago and have it at work. When I took a week off last year, my coworkers put him on the roof on the 7th floor of our office building and tagged me up on Facebook with his picture in a bunch of compromising photos. This was my favorite.

I also was using a picture of my vanity license plate which has my username on it.

It's an image of a character from My Little Pony combined with a character from Discworld.

I don't remember why I went for this but its been so long I'm hesitant to change it.

I love Atlus and their mascot Jack Frost. Mixed him with Jotaro because I love the JoJo's Bizarre Adventure series.

I can think of quite a few reasons why you went with Gummy!

It wasn't long since I finished Banjo Kazooie: Nuts and Bolts. I was feeling kinda bad for being so hard on Rare and the game just because it wasn't what I originally wanted and because I was finally accepted into Gaf and looking for a unique avatar I decided to pick a Grunty avatar to keep repping the series, as she was my favorite character. It originally was an animated Gif of Grunty talking but because the rules changed I went with the laughing pointing Grunty art, felt it was pretty nice.

Right now it as an Evil Within theme because I'm hyped for that game.

Many years ago, GAF user Lee N showed me a piece of artwork from a Swedish magazine article about Dragon Quest of Yuji Horii and a slime in a field. I thought it was really cute, so I cut the slime out and I've used it as my avatar ever since.

I always wanted to know the source of your avatar. Thanks, man.

I once started listening to a band called Genesis, 5 or 6 years ago. My dad had tried to get me into them before, but failed to do so. Some time later, I decided to give it another chance, and found myself enjoying some of their songs. Turns out they were pretty good, actually! At some point during their history, the frontman decided to quit and pursue a solo career, so the drummer became the new face of the band. This later era is regarded by many people as a horrible one, full of catchy pop songs as opposed to their progressive rock roots. Basically, for them the band sold out.

I'm not one of those people. I quite like the Phil Collins era, and as a matter of fact my favorite albums belong there. I also enjoy many of the songs they did with Peter Gabriel, although I dislike the albums Nursery Cryme and most of The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway.

My avatar, as you may have guessed at this point, is part of the cover art of one of my favorite Genesis albums: We Can't Dance. It's the last one to feature Collins, and while it's sadly disliked by many fans, in my opinion it is full of great songs, songs that deserved way more love than what they got. I'm also an extremely pessimistic guy, but I love the drawing in the cover and find it pretty motivating. It looks full of hope and joy, with a father and his son releasing a pigeon (or so it looks like) into the wild, to fly free. Meanwhile the sun is rising, marking the beginning of a new day and new things to come, new experiences to be had and the end of the old ways and old pains and sorrows. In a way, I guess I could say this cover art doesn't represent who I am, but who I want to be.

It's a Picture of my Cat

Love ya Diz (Actually His Real Name is Disney.)

This one comes from gashi gashi, one of my favorite artists. He did a piece for Adventure Time with Marceline, so that's where it comes from.

It's from the episode, 'The Sign of Three' from Sherlock Series 3 (episode 2).

The particular shot is of Detective Inspector Greg Lestrade about to have a drink of his beer while Sherlock delivers the Best Man speech. Mostly chose it because I found his expression funny actually.

It's an optical illusion that looks like it is moving which I adopted as a middle finger to our overlords when they took our animated avatars. Of course at avatar size the illusion doesn't work but I just can't get excited enough about a non animated avatar to change it.

Selfdescripting.
It was made something like 11 years ago, and i don't mind it.

Its taken from a cut scene in Dead Space2, right before one of my favorite sequences in the game.
Gun ship shoots out the window and Issac almost gets sucked out. Escapes to immediately get confronted by a huge necromorph. Gets chased down a cooridor just to run into the gun ship again, get sucked into space, blows up ship and explosion sends him back in the airlock.

Anyways during the cut scene these two guys grab you as soon as you enter the room. The camera pans to my avatars face for like a second. I always thought the guy looked odd/kinda stupid. I just think its a funny expression.

I'm a big Frozen fan.

Yaaay!! High Five!

It's a hentai pic of Sailor Moon I drew sticking her thing in her butt.

Cool... wait wut?

I took the pic and put an Instagram filter. Only Instagram pic I took in my whole life too lol.

I love this specific Yoshi and my sister gave me this one as a gift. I put the Mr. Potato Head glasses on it so Yoshi could look hipster. I thought it was cool so it has been my avatar and seems that many people already recognizes me because of it.

I actually like your avatar, it looks cute.

It's a picture I drew a while ago of Kyoshi from Avatar the Last Airbender as a warm up to a fan comic I've been making about her. If anyone's interested in reading it, the link is in my profile.
