Pumpkin pie, and it's got to have whipped cream with it.

Unlike Sweet Potato and Pecan pies, I can convince myself it's not quite a dessert and, like OP, smash an entire one on my own without remorse.

Stuffing/dressing is usually one of the staples. Cranberries/cranberry sauce, too. Some people think it's necessary to make green bean casserole, but I think those people should be hospitalized.

Turkey
Ham
Stuffing (one with oysters, one without)
Noodles in chicken broth
Mashed potatoes
Deviled eggs
Broccoli & cheese salads (mayo-type dressing)
Stuffed mushrooms (w/cheese & bacon)
Green beans with bacon
Green bean casserole
Mac and cheese
Cheesy hashed potatoes
Bread rolls
Mexican-style chips & dip (usually as an appetizer as we're waiting for the main course)
So many different desserts/sweets: Cookies, brownies, pies, and more

She must be a midwesterner. We love recipes where you use packaged foods as ingredients for other dishes lol. If a recipe calls for canned soup, ramen noodles, Oreos, Ritz Crackers, tater tots, graham crackers, rice crispies, etc as an ingredient then it probably came from the midwest.


Anyway to answer the question, pecan pie by far.
