When did Amazon.com start selling actual computer hardware?

... and by actual computer hardware, I mean things like power supplies, and even motherboards, as opposed to the more "lite" things like RAM, and peripherals. (though I don't think they sell CPUs yet)

Plus, factoring in shipping, I notice some things like my power supply are actually cheaper than NewEgg.

Newegg's prices have been higher lately. I bought most of my components last Summer from newegg, but lately I've bought a few things and all from zipzoomfly.com.
 
theyve sold hardware on the downlow for a while... sometimes have good prices (and no tax/shipping is always good)

Well, they need to start promoting it, and compete head to head with NewEgg.

Damn, you LOVE Amazon don't you? :D I actualy never knew about it either, and since I'm considering building a new rig, this is good to know...
