To answer the initial question, I guess it depends on the person. I don't come to GAF to tell my life story, just pertinent details when they apply to a topic... or personal stories if they apply....

I didnt say anything about girl advice threads, but yes, they are better than pictures of pets. It makes me feel better when I see someone who is less lucky/able than me women-wise.

Heh, I've made < 50 posts there in the last 4 months (as compared with over 1100 here). :lol I only post when I feel it necessary. Though yes, my IQ has consequently dropped appreciably.


I guess I'm just ok with filtering out the BS (of which there is tons) and finding content-- however scant-- which appeals to me. There are a few decent people over there, believe it or not, though the general tenor of discourse is admittedly quite abrasive.
