Nah, I used to make pancakes from scratch (even sourdough ones). I switched to mixes when my daughter wanted to help make them, but I got tired of all the dirty dishes and having leftover batter. I tried the Batter Blaster as a lark and was surprised at the quality. Yes, you're not going to feed the firehouse with one can, but there's no waste and the can will keep for a while.
