Where are you on the global fat scale?

No, I have 39.

I don't look obese either. it's mostly in my stomach and XXL shirts hide it. Actualyl XXL shirts are too big in many ways. XL shirts let the fat rolls bleed through.

My arms, legs, and face don't look big. My ass isn't big.

But yeah, I'm dropping it this year.

Sorry but nobody with a BMI of 39 gets away with not looking "big." That metric at least indicates you are morbidly obese.

You're most like someone from Haiti.

What about 35? ;p

I don't mean to insult anyone, I just think that if society's response to the obesity crisis is to shift the boundaries of "big" past a BMI of 39 then we truly have no hope. It has to be called for what it is, and what it is is a big problem.

I wasn't picking on you for that, I was actually curious if you think someone like me (being female and carrying the weight up front too) would look "morbidly obese" like someone who has a BMI of 39 is all.

I'm glad a lot of you are also as underweight as I am. We should probably have an awareness campaign to get people to send us money for food, forget about DR Congo.

BBC stole GAF's colour scheme.

I really don't think he was attempting to do that. Not everyone looks the same at the same weight, even if they are the same height. I've seen people look much smaller than the scale alone would assume.

25 BMI, most like someone from Fiji, apparently.

Eh, bit of a mixed bag. Based on 32 year old UK male, 6ft 3 and 14st 6lbs.

I had never heard of Eritrea before. Slimmer than 97% of people in my age bracket in the UK, yikes.

Well.. Eritrea borders Ethiopia and Sudan if that's any help..

I'm 26, being 5 11 1/2" and 190 lbs. "You're most like someone from Ireland".

Which is funny, because I'm Irish, sort of. My great-grandfather was Swiss-German, and my great-grandmother was Irish. If you look at my family photos, pretty much everyone either looks like one or the other (grandfather was skinny with big ears, grandmother sort of well, stout)

It's kinda scary though that I am a normal person and still below average on the global scale. The world is getting fatter and fatter.

lol, wanna ban bet if I look morbidly obese with shirt and boxers?
No?

XL shirt, 5'10", 270
My face arms and legs are going to change very little after losing weight. Fat rolls don't pop out in an XL shirt.

A BMI of 39-40 is generally classified to be in range of severe obesity. I haven't made this up. I dunno, you might be the most muscular person on Earth, I wouldn't know. That's just what that single metric indicates - which is just what I said.

You don't look small.

Bah, this is horse dung. 5'11", 182, age 32 gets me a BMI of 25..below average for the US, but still. I work out quite a bit, and have worked hard to not have to "suck in" at the beach like I used to.

Edit: I am most like someone from Latvia. ...I am not sure how to respond to that :)

WTF? My obesity index is 24bmi and apparently I'm above the average of males in the age of 15-29 in Poland. Looking at myself, and looking at men I see every day (especially those above 20-years-old) I really doubt that :lol.

Oh, and apparently I'm "most like someone from Estonia". :D

This really really does not work.

I have a bmi of like 33% im fatter than 100% of people.

Im not skinny but im not insanely fat either im could lose a few pounds sure.

14 stone. 5ft 6.

Heh, this is an odd chart. I got 27 - "You have a higher BMI than 90% of males aged 15-29 in the world."

If you saw me in person you most likely would not think this. I have my Grandpa to thank for a bulkier look.

I never thought I was fat, more on the fluffy side of things. Screw putting 15 y/o in the averages. I-I workout!

Is such a thing even possible?

A 73 BMI puts you in the 400-500 pound range, assuming not freakishly tall. So, sure.

I'm a 36 BMI, but getting better quickly. Been running ~4 times a week and eating pretty well. I would have clocked in at 40+ BMI a year ago.

Algeria, huh? 30, 5'11", 175lbs. I was in the 220s at my chunkiest a few years ago. Still a little doughy around the belly but overall, feels good man.

I'm 5'10"/11" and 160 lbs and it says I'm 23 BMI (Below Average in US but Average in World)

I work out 4 or 5 days a week though with relatively large intakes of protein for building muscle mass.

Not really a good scale obviously.
