This is my home away from the sandy beaches...

$20 a month gets me unlimited tans, plus I was fully reimbursed on my starting fees since I know the store manager and given some tingly lotion that enables a better tan.... :love

Anyone else fake and bake???

I'd rather be pasty white than fake tan. And my pasty complexion shows that.

Fake tan looks fucking gross.

I have a tanning bed next to my real bed. When I want to feel the burn, I hop into my tanning bed and sleep in it at night. You should look into getting one yourself if you want natural, smooth tans in the comfort of your own home.

You're kidding me, that's crazy!

Those things apparently have a high concentration of X uv-rays which are the type linked to skin cancer. Using these things puts you at like 55% more likely to get skin cancer...

Please, I'll be long gone before any hint of cancer from these UV rays affects me. It's a win-win. I remember when the tanning beds had no radio or fans, and now, man o man. Fully equiped with a radio, cd player, and those little airplane-esque fans INSIDE the bed itself. It's quite the experience.

Well, if you have that mentality then go for it, but it's something that scares myself.

hah hah hah. We'll see who's laughing when your pale, bald, untanned head keeps reflecting light into potential girlfriends' eyes, preventing you from ever procuring a lady. I know what the women want and if that means sleeping in a tanning bed for 8 - 12 hours/day, then that's what I'm gonna give them. Life's too short to worry about...what do you call it? Cancer? hahaha. Yeah, right...this 'cancer' of yours is mostly likely another one of those homosexual diseases if that at all. Trust me, I'm not into that shit.

No one has said "the beach" yet?

The beach.

Happy? ;)

I don't deliberately do it, I'm just prone to tanning pretty quickly, skipping that whole "sunburn" step. Although, I'll admit to a slight inclination to go to the beach every now and then to even everything out. A farmer's tan is pretty annoying.

I wonder if people here could distinguish between a "fake" tan and a "real" tan. People who use tanning beds in moderation look perfectly normal; it's the people who use them week after week after week who look like freaks. At least people who use tanning beds don't have a pale white ass between their dark legs and torso.

I've considered using one because I'm pretty naturally pale, but the cancer risk is a concern, and I suppose I don't really need it. I've tried tanning outside, but I barely see any results.

Okay, yeah, considering your situation, I can see why it's not such a bad idea after all.

What the bloody $20?! do they just like open up a sunroof in a hut? Tokyo it's 2000 yen for 20 minutes, unlimited for a month is more like 35,000 yen(which still isn't really unlimited.). You Americans and your lack of ganguros bringing the man down.

Yeah, au naturel.

But I'm really exceptionally more attractive when tanned. Dunno why. I think I may forsake my useless principles and get a modest tan in the colder months, so as to, as OC puts it, procure as much pussy as possible.

I've never bothered to get a tan. The girlfriend doesn't seem to care, but I might try it one of these days. Is the cancer risk significant? Or is it mostly to people who lie in them 24/7?

Sometimes if I feel like, I just go lay out in the sun. (That is, if I'm even up during the day.) Though if it's like winter time and I feel the need to get a tan, I'll go to the tanning bed for like a week.

Burning expnentialy increases the risk and yes tanning beds will cause cancer. My sister just had a spot of melanoma removed from her leg and she use to tan just twice a week.
