I remember travelling to Toronto for a show at the Guvernment (Armin Van Buuren) shortly after SARS first appeared there. It was pretty packed, but there were these huge empty circular spaces around all the asian kids (and obviously there was a lot of them - it was a trance show after all ).

Yup, I remember the asian clubs were all deserted. Maybe at 30% capacity. People were coming out of the arrivals area at the airport with masks on.

I was living in Shenzhen, which was the birthplace of last years SARS mess. I was going to go to the Hong Kong Film Festival but my girlfriend said that she wouldnt see me for a week if i did, so i didnt. It doesnt matter i got really cheap flights to Indonesia from HK because of sars. However, while people in Hong Kong were wearing masks, people in shenzhen thought it was no big deal till the govt got all crazy about it. China is is unintentional comedy galore.
