Which electric device made you go: "Woah!"

Most recently, the Oculus Rift. While it made me nauseous within seconds and thus probably isn't for me, I was blown away by how 'real' moving around in worlds feels.

Yeah, first device in a very long time that amazed me (others being my 3dfx Voodoo card and before that our SNES probably). Shame about the nausea though... One time I used it for 15 minutes and felt motion sick for a full three days. But if they are able to 'fix' that, it has the potential to be the next 'big thing' in video games. Maybe revolutionary even.

My first time playing Mario 64. But then I was stuck on the system for a very long time until the GCN Metroid Prime bundle came out. I saved up mowing lawns and shoveling, got the system, popped the disk in, and I wanted to die from the opening screen. I forgot to get a memory card, but it didn't matter. Polygons to that is just...DAMN.

Mario 64 doesn't use a memory card

Edit: oooh popped, the disk... Sorry, you were talking about the GC

I remember seeing an iphone when it was new, the app that simulated drinking a beer when you tilted the phone. Remember thinking that was pretty impressive as I'd been ignoring new tech for the previous few years and didnt realise things had moved on quite a bit.

Also my first sat nav for the car. I was like "omg it knows where I am!!! This is amazing!!"
