Which games Fanboys piss you off?

For me...it's gotta be RRV fans.

To this day....despite it being a lukewarm, jaggyfest pimple on the arse of the Ridge series with a crap non-cheesy Techno soundtrack to boot. Fans of this game still piss me off with their smug opinion that RR5 is the pinnicle of the series.

NO---ITS---NOT.

YES....you are entitled to have an opinion. But only if that opinion engages the brain in anyway. I'll take any of the Ridge series over RR5 and it's bland, dull tracks and shit soundtrack anyday of the week.

Nintendo could bag shit and they would buy it by the truck load

And if a particular feature or innovation debuts on a rival system first, it "sucks" until Nintendo makes a variation on it, at which point Nintendo themselves "pioneered" the technology

Xbox fanboys BEFORE the system came out. I can understand being excited for a new powerful system with some good looking games, but how can you actually become a FULL BLOWN "EVERYTHING ELSE SUCKS" FANBOY without ever playing a system made by them before?

eh? ridge racer v has lots of the cheesy techno that's typical of the franchise, and i think it's from the same namco musicians. there's some licensed stuff too, but i think it works. i think it's a really good entry in the series, anyway. i love the city environments.

I'll take the easy out and say Square fans. I really dislike being chastized for disliking FF7, despite my love for most of the other titles in the series, including 11. But if you want me to be serious, it's the fanboys who are fanboys out of spite. Mainly those who join the side of a system just because they have some undeniable hate towards the competition...oh wait, that's all fanboys. :D

Fanboyism is simply brand loyalty to extremes.

I too, couldn't understand the MASS Xbox fanboyism before the system was even released.

I bought Rage Racer a long time after RRV (after I read the comment about it here), after playing it, I think it is just nostalgia.

edit: Oh I hadn't addressed to the topic, yes, Nbots that don't even bother to try anything outside what N-provides.

By far Nbots, because most of the hardcore ones here for example don't even try the games for other systems. And they buy anything with a Nintendo seal.

haha you complain about the jaggies, and your comparing it it PS1 RR games? Tracks were a bit bland, but everything else was great..including soundtrack. RR for PSP will be the pinnacle of the series when released though.

I have to wonder how true that is, do you know this for a fact? I do prefer Nintendo games specifically because I DO play games on other systems.

Halo fans have taken the crown from N-bots.

For over two years, I was drawn and quartered if I ever voiced my concerns that the single player portion in Halo 2 was being neglected for multiplayer this time around. I was assured that Bungie was fully supported by Microsoft(no rushing to release this time!), and that they were addressing the issues many had with the first game.

A hundred "Multiplayer makes up for the single player campaign" reviews later, I doubt I'll get a single apology.

As far fans in general, definitely the Nintendo kids. They don't really piss me off, but it's funny nonetheless.

Regarding game fans...I'd have to say Ikaruga fans. Game sucks. Sorry, it does. Some people thought it was the second fucking coming, though. It's a gah-damn shooting game, guys.

The PS2 or Xbox fanboys who purchased a GC for dirt cheap because they had the spare change, only to bring up how they haven't touched the system in months.. "Booo hooo no games are coming out.. I guess it will just have to collect dust in the corner, or perhaps I'll have to sell it". Of course, it's more beneficial for them to keep it around, so the complaining can get worse strengthening their ideologies.

Halo 2. To me it represents everything that's wrong with gaming right now.
I'm so that that game was finally released so we can stop hearing about it.

If you have a genuine preference for Nintendo games, and play other stuff I wouldn't consider you as a hardcore Nbot. To me the hardcore Nbot are the ones that play nothing else but N games.

I hate peopel that use terms line nbots and xbots as if they have any actual meaning to them. Too often people just see what they want to see and label it accordingly because they can't handle actually thinking about it.

It seems like ever thread nowadays I read at this place where people get into 'fanboy wars' its because 20 people said something with an actual explained opinion about it and one person, if any, says somethign fanboyish and someone replies "look at those 'xbots/nbots/sonybots going wild with teh damage control! :lol " and then everyone agrees with them and its those people that need to be obliterated.

Jagbots. Man alive they drive me nuts. We cant go ten mins here without worship of the atari jaguar. Sheesh you think it made toast and spit out money~!

Silent Hill fanboys can be really irritating

"THE ROCKS ON THE GROUND HAVE TO SYMBOLIZE SOMETHING!!!!"

That's one of the irritating things of typical fanboys, everything must have a meaning. (Although I like SH series very much).

The Halo 2 people. I get harassed every day to join in a game or play someone and each time I hate the game more and more. Mind you these are the same people who ruined lasertag, church, and paintball as well. Fucking aholes

While I do agree that the single player campaign is disappointing, I don't think that it was neglected for work on the multiplayer sections, if the making of DVD is any indication.

Heh ... really, I just hate the people that love everything that Nintendo does and equally those who chastise everything that Nintendo does. I guess you can break down the "hate" into two categories. There are seriously lots of Nintendo fanboys out there who buy up everything Nintendo... then bitch about it. Then there are those who wish to see the demise of the company for some retarded sense of console loyalty.

Really, none of it sits well with me. I've always said that Nintendo fanboys are the worst, but being a pretty big fan of Nintendo games, it's kind of hard not to get pissed off at every little 14 year old kid that calls Nintendo "kiddy".

Xbox fanboys. The ones that I've met usually talk about how powerful the system is, but when I ask them about the games the only thing they can say is Halo.

Yeah but at least when we admit when it's shit.

And Brute Force was shit! :p
Exactly.

When a Nintendo game comes out that IS shit, the only thing the fanboys will do is silence out and do like the game never came out. Then, when that part of Nintendo (and/or second party) is sold or annonces they stop making games for Nintendo, then : "Bah, they never did anything good anyways."

Seriously :
Mario Pinball
Custom Robo
Kirby Air Ride

These are just a few examples of the "silencing out". I'd like to see a Nintendrone come out and accept these games are downright shit.

I dunno, fanboys are one thing. Usually if a fanboy speaks there's 100 "anti-fanboys" or "enemy fanboys" that come trashing them down. The level of abuse by these people is tenfold what fanboys give.

I like what I like. If you have a problem with it deal. I'm not gonna change my perspective because it bothers you. I don't tell you what you should like or enjoy so don't assume to tell me what I should either. I'll speak my mind when I feel like it.

Anti-fanboys are worse than any fanboy on these boards.

Retards who don't appreciate the majesty of Ridge Racer V.

Seriously, though, I'd say anyone who thinks MGS: TTS and/or Ridge Racer 64 are the pinnacle of their respective series. ;)

Exactly. I hate how the new Dynasty warriors PSP looks but am I there telling everyone that the PSP is crap?

And they call Nintendo-philes kiddy... :lol

Grow the fuck up.

Of course they're shit and add 1080 and a few others this gen to it, but I see no point jumping in every thread I can find to say so. Say it once, express yourself and STFU.

Any zealot, being games or anything else like religion piss me off.
I run a Xbox site and even if of course most people come there because they like their console I'm very careful not to let people be too much fanboys.
The thing they really makes me mad are the EA Fanboys though. Yes true EA fanboys exist, they do not lurk much on forums (there is one on IGN) but ho boy do I want to slap them :D
