As a matter of fact yes, the gamecube has been released in a white edition in Japan and Europe. Even if they hadn't released it white is hardly new or fresh. Apple has been doing it for some years starting with the imac and now everyone is doing it.

Black, white, and red. What I really want, though, is one that looks like a NES (there's a mock-up pic out there; can't find it). Rev's a great design and Nintendo will surely make limited editions of it. I have a feeling that NES mockup will eventually become a reality (esp. with the VC and all), so it'd be nice if Nintendo just released it at launch so I won't be tempted to buy a 2nd Rev later.
