I'm not normally a fan of green.

However, the more I look at it ... the more I think I'd pull the trigger on that version of the Rev.

Yup, that's the right answer.

I think you want to distance the Rev from the GameCube as much as possible from a design standpoint ... and the white/black models look the most sophisticated. It's also a popular one-two punch for the Apple i-Pod.

I think the "fruitier" colors like green, red, etc. should come later on, once the system is already established.

What they could do for Japan is possibly launch with a limited edition Famicom version with Super Mario Bros. pre-loaded onto it or something and charge extra for it.

In reality, I'd say make black, white, and maybe grey standard - simply for the fact they would match most people's electronics the best.

Other colors should be available at launch through online/phone order for a small premium. That way they don't have to worry about manufacturing a whole bunch that sit on store shelves.

Rev could be the only console availible in black as standard from launch.

I dont really understand Nintendo when it comes to colours. In terms of the DS they have loads of colours in japan but here in UK just 3. The pink and blue were massive sellers here, I don't understand why they don't bring the white and black. We didn't even get a red one with Mariokart. Everytime I show my black DS to people they love it, especially older people. If this kind of display was in game shops here, they would fly of the shelves I have no doubt:

They will probably do the same with Rev, have loads of colours in Japan but only a few elsewhere. How hard can it be to make different colours?

Green is the "in" color at the moment, but you're not going to like it in a few months. And white is so 2004 (and it looks terrible in my TV stand.)

Black will always work for consumer electronics. It should be permanent. All other colors should be temporary and based on whatever's trendy at the time.

Why a Famicom one? Famicoms arent anywhere close to the same shape, NES works so well though...
