i can't seen them before but can't seem to find them on Amazon, but i get the Phillips flourescent bulbs that fit in standard lightbulb sockets. They consume less energy, don't give off heat, and supposedly last for something like 5-7 years. The only downside is they take a second to actually come on after you've flicked on the light switch like the normal rod-shaped flourescents, but after a while it's unnoticeable.

i don't know if it's just one store or all in the food beta, but Amazon doesn't ship to PO boxes. Sucks because i'm not home during the day all the time, and i don't live in a neighborhood where i'd feel comfortable leaving a package on my doorstep until i got home.

I have something like what Aoi Tsuki's describing. It's a 14W bulb, but it's so much brighter than the old 75W, I only need one where I needed two of the old ones...

Who buys toilet paper on amazon?

In terms of lightbulbs, flourescent bulbs are not as bright, and give off an ugly glow, in my opinion of course. Nothing beats natural light, but at night, use lighting sparingly.

Yeah, those are similar to what i'm using. They actually sound better than the Phillips (i think that's the brand) given that they don't have a warm up period.

i've used natural light bulbs a few years ago, and they provide some nice light, but at the time didn't really offer much great power savings. It might be different now but i think if i were to get any it would be for specific situations, like a desk lamp where i'd be reading.

If Amazon shipped to PO boxes, i'd be ordering it. It's about the same price as buying locally, especially if i buying some other items to help with shipping. i'm willing to try anything that'll keep me from making a trip to Walmart.

i don't know what wattage you're using, but i've seen flourescents that give off a comparable amount of light to a 75W bulb, yet they only took around 20W of power. Their color is typically cooler than incandescent bulbs, which makes them seem harsher. There may be other flourescents that give off a more incandescent-like glow, but i'm not sure.

Fluorescent bulbs are the best for saving energy. That seventh generation one only says they save energy in the manufacturing process.

I like the full spectrum fluorescent bulbs, I don't know if they make them in regular lightbulb shapes or not though. Mine are the long tubes. Of course a regular bulb is best, but I have a fluorescent fixture so that's what I use and the full spectrum bulbs are just fine.

Entering APO & FPO Addresses Correctly

Having trouble entering an APO or FPO address on our order form? Following these steps should help:

* Enter the recipient's full name and address in the relevant fields.
* Enter "APO" or "FPO" in the City field.
* Enter "AE" in the State/Province/Region field if the recipient is stationed in Europe, Canada, Africa, or the Middle East. Enter "AA" if the recipient is stationed in the Americas. Enter "AP" if the recipient is stationed in Asia or the Pacific.
* Regardless of where the recipient is stationed, select "United States" from the Country drop-down menu.

Following these steps will ensure that you're charged the correct shipping amount and that your order will be delivered in a timely fashion. All shipments to APO/FPO addresses are sent via U.S. Priority or First Class Mail. We estimate 5 to 7 business days for delivery once the order has been shipped; however, some destinations may take up to 21 days.

Please note that the following items cannot be shipped to APO/FPO addresses: Apparel, camera and photo items, cell phones and service, computers, most electronics items, hardware, housewares, kitchen items, magazines, outdoor living items, software (including games), and tools.

Thanks, but the problem lies in the fact that Amazon's using another company, Gristedes Supermarkets of New York, for some of the "food" items in the beta. Grsitedes doesn't ship to PO boxes.

On the plus side, i googled "purple crying thing" which sent me to a GAF thread, which gave me the link for
