While some choose to represent the worst of humanity, here’s others quietly choosing to represent the best

Posted by EviLore EviLore , to not steal the credit, some news we could all use. This is the stuff that should be on TV, inspiring people to come together for the good of the community, but it never seems to work out that way.

Anyone else spot any cool little stories like this?

Just saw two restaurants on TV here in Brazil distributing food to the homeless. Cool stuff. A little gesture, but it's cool.

Cannot be stressed enough that the burning of convenience stores and other shit was absolutely not endorsed by the majority.

These people do still want to get groceries again without having to drive 20 miles.

Edit:

BRUH.

(Not confirmed true but there are multiple threads around this.)

Just saw this video and I didn't know where to post it or if I should on this forum. It made me feel good as music always does.

This is a fan made music video for the song "Heaven" by Scarface. It's a beautiful and powerful song and this fan video captures it perfectly. You can tell this is a passion project for the community. I hope you guys enjoy it.

Not feeling the thread title at all but I understand! I guess when you ignore the kneeling and keep accusing a certain demographic of playing victim and living in the past, I guess this the best way y’all can sleep well at night by jumping on this and ignoring the real issue and figuring out a solution!

so instead of making threads like this one, how about we come together and make something happen so this doesn’t happen anymore

While I agree the thread title is stupid as fuck. This should be a thread for positivity.

Look here, fat. I had not slept all night, and I had exactly one minute heading out the door to come up with a title. Blah, lol. You try doing better.

I really like the photos you added. It’s really easy to get sucked into narratives right now, especially negative ones. Seeing people protect a police officer, especially the ones you might not have expected, based on media coverage, is genuinely awesome.

Not a big BLM fan, or believer that the murder here was necessarily racial, but this is how things should be 👌

People getting in the front lines and stopping the looting is also extraordinarily brave, and shows tremendous character. That could go very wrong, very easily.

So corrupt, police need to be watched like a hawk. People need to come up with ways of holding them to justice themselves. They’ve been getting off easy for way too long. I have bad days, but never in my life have I disregarded someone’s livelihood while on the job. These cops, Idk what happens but a percentage are sick in the head

Also, great thread. It’s sickening that the news and major media outlets spend obscenely large amounts of time portraying the world in such a one sided view. If you watch the news all day, you’re bound to get caught up in the perpetual fear and chaos that they paint every day living as. It’s not like that. It’s great that we are being informed about dangerous events so we can think and hopefully learn in terms of how to protect ourselves and avoid harm but what about learning about community and helping one another? Unity and virtue. Idk, I hate how the news essentially labels people as inherently terrible and mischievous beings and only throw a decent story of their choosing every blue moon

It’s dishonest, greedy, and a very foul trick. People make mistakes and there are horrendous people out there, but if you watch CNN or some channels you would think that good people are rarer than finding a 100 dollar bill on the ground ffs

I despise media’s filthy illusion of reality

Really makes you think, what is behind the story, why is not this shown, why white people demolish CNN, why majority of the agressive protesters are also white and what the fuck is happening. In the midst of world pandemic no less, I've seen too much Bolshevik fuckery to not get suspicious. I am just saying. Destabilize country, just by killing one man and take picture of that incident, seems fucking scary. It's wrong and cops (3 of them) should be jailed, but like... I don't know, maybe it's honest thing with couple of idiots acting out of the ordinary, but somewhat sceptical of that.

Some good things are happening because of the riot, you're hearing people more clearly and I'm hoping it serves some purpose, even if it's 10% to 20% of affecting modern day. It's going to get worse and we'll talk about it tomorrow, riots, money and covid19 will be on peoples minds.
