Excluding Cable and his arm, who are the top five most powerful mutants(Super Villians and Super Heros in general) in the Marvel Universe? Not powerful in physical strength but powerful as in they can pretty much whoop a lot of people at the same time.

I'm not very versed in Marvel trivia, but does it look something like this...?

1. Apocolypse
2. Magneto
3. Professor X
4. The Incredible Hulk
5. And? Ah' I don't know.

P.S. Two questions..

1) The incredible Hulk movie that came out recent. There was Bruce Banner and David Banner. How true did the movie stick to the comic book that the Hulk's dad was some sort of giant energy super villian thing? (If the Hulks pops is a super villian, does he have an official super villain name?)

2) About the top 5 list, would that big guy that the Fantastic 4 frequently had run-ins with be on the list? (Forget the guys name, but he was really big and purple I think. I might of been Galactis?)

I think the most powerful ones are the lame guys that you usually don't hear anything about. Like Silver Surfer.

I know the most powerful mutant in the world is Reed Richard's son, but I can't remember his name.

I would go with Silver Surfer as the most powerful superhero. Although he was created by the guy with the messed-up helmet.

The big guy the Fantastic Four fights is Galactus.

David Banner in the movie is based off of the Absorbing Man from the comic, but he is not Bruce Banner's dad.

Why exclude Cable? Here's the top five bruisers of the Marvel Universe, bar none:

5) Paste Pot Pete (aka The Trapster)
4) Cypher (Douglas Ramsey)
3) Everett K. Ross
2) Street Poet Ray
1) Forbush Man

What is the deal with Cable's arm? It just looks like it is metal. And that didn't help Jax in Mortal Kombat 2 at all.

Seriously though, lists like "Most Powerful Beings in the Marvel Universe" are pretty pointless Vieo. The top slots are always filled with omnipotent cosmic beings like Eternity and the Living Tribunal, and they're barely characters at all.

Did anyone buy those Marvel Universe inserts that had every single character, all of their information, like history and appearances? I have stacks of them. I even have the original Marvel Universe comic. It had all the characters running across the cover.

Does anyone remember those?

He's infected by the Apocolypse Virus (if you watched the XMen cartoon, it's the virus that turned the ArchAngel from a normal guy having angel wings to super metal man with metal wings). But Cable's powers are strong enough that he can fight it, but not THAT much, hence the metal arm.

I said excluding Cable and his arm because usually when this sorta discussion pops up, people say Cable is the most powerful when he gets healed and gets his arm back. :D

Galactus created the Silver Surfer and Cosmic Spider man, right? Wouldn't he be more powerful than them both? =P

All I got for the Vernal Equinox was this stupid tag
The most powerful character in the Marvel universe is Joe Quesada. :D

Also let's not forget about this guy:

I can't believe that Storm isn't listed. I always thought that she was one of the most powerful X-Men (since she could create hurricanes, floods, blizzards, etc.)! Think about it: if you were to put any of the X-Men up against Storm, nobody -- with the exception of the telepaths -- would be able to get close enough to harm her. Storm would simply summon a hurricane with herself in the eye/center and fly around trashing everything in her path. She'd even be able to incapacitate the telepaths by summoning a blizzard to freeze them like she did to Omega Red in Russia (unless a psykinetic field was strong enough to resist it).

Sure, if Rogue were to absorb Storm's powers she'd be able to outdo her; but she'd need to get close to storm first! :lol

I believe that was their take on the Absorbing Man... who is NOT Bruce's father in the book.... the movie was pretty liberal with pretty much...everything.

I'd think that Thanos, Galactus and others wouldn't count since although they have mutant powers, they are actually aliens (not humans who were born with mutations).

Then again, maybe I'm biased because I never really liked the Cosmic Beings. Once a character becomes God (Thanos) it tends to ruin the whole universe for me. :lol

Well, he made the SIlver Surfer. Spider-Man became Cosmic Spider-Man because of the enigma force. Its like a force that manifests itself in different beings whenever a major calamity or event is about to occur, so it can be prevented.

Galactus is of course more powerful than the Silver Surfer. Galactusis one of I guess you would call them the Cosmic Gods. If you read the Infinity Gauntlet you'll know what I'm talking about. The most powerful one is the Living Tribunal ( gold body, floating head with 2 faces with a purple cload draped over it.), and he himself has said there is only person above even him, most people speculate God. Heh.
