but is that widespread or is it just this guy's unit? because the way a D-pad works is pretty simple, and in a unit like the PSP, D-Pad Right would have been likelier to cause a problem should a fancy actuating mecanism be used to accomodate the screen (like for the square button).

Up down shouldn't have had to deal with such implementation problems, and it's not like I haven't seen unresponsive D-pads on fresh out of the box regular controllers either. in fact I've seen it on a couple of S controllers, and unresponsive buttons too.

It doesn't matter if the D-Pad gets stuck a little. The system is beautiful and knocking it for something like that would be simply moronic. This is a masterpiece we have here with the PSP. :lol
