Man, Freud really has fallen out of favor if he doesn't even rate a mention on this thread.

As for JFK, historians have reached the consensus that he prevented war between the USSR and the US in the Cuban Missile Crisis, which remains the closest the world has ever been to a nuclear confrontation. That would be worth hearing about.

I agree with Mao Zedong. I would add Bob Dylan to have artist representation.

I really see Freud as more of a 20th century response to Victorian thought than as a 20th century thinker. He's in favor with me. I'd consider Carl Jung a 20th century thinker, and he was one of Freud's associates. He sort of took rational forms of some of Freud's best ideas and applied them to cultures of the world at large, not just Europe.

Similarly, I'd like to add Joseph Campbell to my list.
