There are a hell of a lot to choose from. Regardless of whether or not I agree with their position on a particular subject there are plenty of posters who, more often than not, rely on reason to form their arguments and can defend them without resorting to nonsense.

Also, it's a limited opinion, since there are probably plenty of intelligent people who just makes normal posts, or don't really post that much at all, or only lurk in threads that I don't read. Or make super insightful posts in specific areas of interest, that I end up passing over because they don't make an impact on my memory like the more prolific ones. I'm not going to worry too much about filling the list, since they'll keep making good posts whether I note their name or not...
Also included is practically everyone I talk to, in different places, that posts here. You know who y'all are, so take that to heart.

how do you think gaf's average intelligence (maybe restricting the sample to members with more than 100 posts or something) compares to the world's average intelligence (weighted of course by how many gaffers there are from each country)? how about the OT's average intelligence, i.e. the average intelligence of those who mostly post on in the OT? OT vs. Gaming?

let me rephrase that question. how does the intelligence of the average gaf poster differ from that of the average person, controlling for age, sex, and country of residence? i'd wager to say it's slightly above average. however, if we controlled further for hours of daily internet use, i think the difference would become statistically insignificant.

I have not seen any poster able to drop comprehensive, reasoned, and educated posts at the drop of a hat like Stumpokapow. Bro has quality thought flowing from his brain like a river and apparently has the typing speed to match. He is also not overly selective about it, but freely and calmly engages people across the full spectrum of intelligence and respectfulness in equity.
