I'm surprised that there aren't more people screaming bloody murder because a Metroid game has a multiplayer mode.

Does anyone know what it really is like to play Metroid? It is to be played solo, the whole atmosphere gives off this feeling of loneliness and discovery. Who. Tell me. Who's idea was it to implement multi-player within this series? Oh, I know. Those who think Metroid Prime was a 'First Person Shooter'. That's who. Those that just got hip with the Metroid saga. Go and do some homework. Then you'll realize.
Nope. I'm not anticipating Metroid Prime 2's multi-player experience. I'm actually cringing at the idea. I weep for the future. And hold a candle vigil for those that were lost in not witnessing the truth: Metroid Prime is not a First Person Shooter. Hence, there is no friggin' need for multi-player. It will only tarnish [for the first time in the Metroid legacy] it's reputation.
Multi-player in metroid...silly.
Yeah, I got's a big problem with mult-player being within my Metroid. Why? Metroid was mine. Mine alone to share in all it's discoveries. It's that feeling you get when you play it. Fanboys are ruining that experience. Thanks a lot. Your request for the non-needed ruined my anticipation and purchase of what will most likely be a successful sequel. Yet I will pass by it's display case with head down. Listening to those praising the advent of multi-player in 'my metroid'. Shucks...

I'm not necessarily saying it shouldn't be there (though I do agree that it doesn't jive with the basic concept of Metroid, but I am saying that I have no interest in it whatsoever. Like Meier said, I'll play it for the single player adventure, as is fit for Metroid, and when I want to play multiplayer, there is no reason at all for me to play MP2 multi when I've got Halo 2.mac said:Jesus . . . you multiplayer haters need to let go.
