Who the hell is this fatass pretending to be Biggie?

I was watching MTV Jams and this song "Compton" comes on. It features Beanie Man, but the kicker is there is this tubblubmcflub pretending to be the Notorious one... Floe, fatman lisp, and everything. What the fuck? Does he know that he is totally biting the style of a legend? Is this the West's answer to 50 cent?

I must say, the track is pretty tight though.

BTW: Ironic that the East would produce a Tupac wannabe and the West would produce a Biggie clone...

Never heard of him before, but he sure does have a lot of big names producing his album.

His name is "Guerilla Black". And you are 100% correct, this guy spits exactly like Biggie. Saying that this guy is a Biggie knock-off is an understatement. I listen to a lot of mixtapes, and I haven't come across any of his songs. But then again, I listen to mixtapes mixed by New York DJs, so that may be the reason I've never heard of him.

His lyrical abilities aren't to be doubted though. He's got skill. But... the only thing that would stop this guy from becoming big is the sole fact that he's drawn way too much "inspiration" from Biggie.

Anyone ever hear of V Dot Slick? I think that's his name. It's something like that. Anyway, this guy sounds EXACTLY like Jay-Z. You would NEVER be able to tell the difference.

EDIT: Tupac wannabe = Ja Rule?

There was a guy a number of years ago that sounded *exactly* like Tupac, I can't remember his name, but it was uncanny. Rapped about the same stuff too. It was pretty shortly after he died, I'll try to dig up the name from my friend.

I'll save you the trouble because I know: Levar Burton.

The Realist, Death Row tried to bring him out. Miserable Failure.

Nah, this guy is was more down low. His name is Blachaze. I just opened up one of his tracks, it's kind of funny. You can tell it's not pac, but you have to listen pretty closely. Definitely not as skillied.

when i first saw the video i was trying to figure out how they digitized biggie into this beenie man thing... disappointed in the end it wasnt some miracle of photoshop

its fitting, seeing as how Biggie was just a Heavy D ripoff himself.

All I got for the Vernal Equinox was this stupid tag
Holy crap...Guerilla Black really DOES sound extremely close to Biggie. Close enough that it's downright scary.

I'm also not understanding the 50cent/2pac comparison.
50 Was pretty much sold to the public as Tupac 2. Ja claimed he was pretty much Tupac 2. It's understandable that you wouldn't understand the comparison as both rappers totally sucked when it came to emulating their idol. So in essence, the East bred 2 Tupac wannabees.

Other than they're both big guys (even though D isn't so big anymore) there's no similarity. Unless you were being funny, then disregard my post.

Finally bought a new PSP, but then pushed the demon onto someone else. Jesus.
There's mucho similarities. Cadence alone.

He's wack.

I really like "Compton."

The first time I saw the video, I was like, "WTF?! Is that Biggie?" You obviously know that it's not Biggie, but Guerilla Black sounds just like him.

I've been trying to download some of his stuff off of IRC for the longest. I'm like 60% done, and the bot never returned after it up and left.

And I don't think he's necessarily trying to be like Biggie just because of the way he raps. Shyne sounds similar to Biggie as well.

Guerilla Black sounds way closer to Biggie than Shyne... neither's lyrics come close, though. I want to hear an angry Guerilla Black spit, as that was Biggie at his best. I like Black and I'm eager to give his album a listen when it comes out later this month. The biggest thing going against him is that he sounds too much like Biggie and that will automatically turn a lot of people off. It's a two-edged sword, he'll be easily recognized as "that guy who sounds like Big" but never anything more, especially to B.I.G. die-hards.

You are kidding yourself if you think Ja OR Fiddy never wanted to be the next Pac. Shit, those two guys are swinging off that corpses' nuts. Also, Shyne doesn't really have BIG's cadence. Just the voice.

Also, I would like to hear Guerrilla Black make a song as hard as "Dead Wrong" (The best Biggie song IMO, and hardest track EVER) I doubt he could pull off the firery anger in that song.

Yeah you gotta be nuts, Ja was one of the first wanna be Pac clones. Hell, you could throw DMX and even Master P in there as well (they all took elements of Pac and tried to run with it).

Ja even has a radio interview sayin "U wanna see Pac come back, Well he's here!" Something to that effect. 50 seems to take some of 2Pac's steez but it doesnt seem like he trying to take the whole 2Pac persona, more like people lay it on him because he survived getting shot 9 times!

His voice is a little bit lighter pitched than Biggies, but he's essentially using that voice with the typical West Coast Gangsta Rap (Which is D-E-A-D BTW) whereas Biggie a lot of the time would use metaphors and events that have happened in his life.

Shyne >> Guerilla Black

Thusfar, I can not disagree with that statement. Also, WC Gangsta Rap has been dead for a while and quite frankly, I don't miss it one bit.
