I'm kind of skeptical about this -- I really didn't care for the first movie, and the critics seem pretty mixed. Sure looks pretty, though.

It reaches my city on October 1st. That works fine for me, as I want to rent the first one again. I haven't seen it in several years.

Visually it's one of the most impressive films I have ever seen, certainly the most impressive animated film. Great music as well. I liked the film itself, but I can see some people disliking certain aspects (not the visuals and audio though )

My favorite anime flick... Can't wait to see the sequel. Luckily I have several theaters to choose from in the L.A. area.

Alas, it's not going to be anywhere near me until mid-October at the earliest. The R2 DVD just came out, so I'm sure digisubs with nice video quality will be floating around any day now, but I'm still going to hold out for the theatrical experience...whenever that may be.
