I loved this show growing up and i'm glad to finally see it coming out on dvd. Easily one of my favorite cartoons, next to batman. Anyone else picking it up?

Already got mine from deepdiscountdvd.com. Highly recommended. Disney is using this set as a test run to see how much interest there is in the franchise. If sales are high enough we might get the other seasons released or who knows... maybe even new gargoyles cartoons!

Also if sales are good we may see other disney toons like Ducktales, Tail Spin, Darkwing Duck, etc get season sets.

EDIT....
Fans of the show should also check out Greg Weisman's site. Greg was one of the creator's of the Gargoyles cartoon and he answers fan questions at the site.

I would pick up the set, but $20 is too steep for just 13 half hour episodes of a show.

I went looking for it today, and the only place that had it was Wal-Mart (according to my sister). Why the hell don't Target, KMart, Costco/Sam's Club, and Suncoast carry Disney DVD sets??? Course, Costco had friggin That's So Raven DVDs...

At least, I picked up the Samurai Jack DVD set.

I would have gone with Scrooge McDuck as Ebenezer, but I guess it works.
Well yeah, but Scrooge McDuck is really a kindly old man, whereas fallout is so cheap that he won't pay $20 for a season set.

Think of it like this... you're getting the "mini-series" and 8 episodes.
That's 286 minutes of one of the best animated series ever made.
Over 4 hours!

Where can you get over 4 hours of good drama for twenty bucks?

Well, I got 28 episodes of drama goodness in Batman: TAS Vol 1 for ~ $28 (DDD 20% off sale).

Maybe my gaming cheapass habits (thnx Wario) are spreading to the rest of my spending habits, but I don't find the Gargoyles set to be a good value.

wow, $20 is a good price for a season set of dvds, I may end up getting it after all.

How many seasons were there total?

Yeah, 20 bucks for this show is no problem. As far as I know there were 2 seasons-- season 1 is 13 episodes, but season 2 has like 52 episodes, though i'm not positive on that. There's also a season 3 called the goliath chronicles, but it's supposedly pretty different and people don't consider it a part of the series.

The real question is where is Reboot.

Me thinking that led to just gathering the knowledge that there were two movies after the season three ending, wtf?!

Anyone else had a problem finding the set? After two days of searching through half a dozen stores and dealing with clueless employees, I managed to get the second to last copy at Frys.
