So I'm playing a game of scattegories awhile back with some family, and the letter P comes up. I'm scrolling down the card, and come to the line "Something in the sky". Now, obviously the easy answers such as plane come to mind, but thinking these would be easy, I wrote down pterodactyl. The time comes to read off answers, and my family says hell no to my answer.

WTH? Are pterodactyls not in the sky? They claimed when was the last time you looked up in the sky and saw a pterodactyl? I of course answered back with "The card doesn't say something in the sky NOW, does it". I got no points for that answer.

Was I ripped off?

Well, you could really push it and tell them that your flying dino is theoretically the ancestor of the current flying birds, which you see in the sky all the time.

Tell them you'll accept that your answer is invalid so long as they let you enter a new one.

You got ripped off. In fact, the family rules at my house are that creative answers are worth a +1 (majority vote required), and that might have qualified.

Yeah let's screw your family royally and have everyone agree that Myllz was correct!! Seriously I think the pterodactyl answer was right, why bother not letting it pass?

Nah, I was just speculating revenge for unknown reasons. I'm far too unmotivated and lazy to actually carry out any plan.
