What's their schedule like? the WWF schedule was (is? don't follow it much anymore) brutal.

It’s different in the sense they have 6 weeks on and then will have 2 weeks off. I don’t know what the wrestlers who have worked both will say but to me I always thought those 2 weeks off after a tour must really be a great help in being able to rest up.

The WWE schedule is pretty brutal, but a lot of it is down to the distances involved with traveling. In that regard the schedule is much lighter in Japan - there's less traveling, everything's paid for by the promotion and the tours are further apart.

Looking at the current New Japan tour, the majority of the roster will wrestle 13 times in 16 days, traveling 2,790 miles around Japan, mainly by coach. Comparatively, on WWE's recent European tour this past month, Randy Orton would have had to travel 13,396 miles in 14 days and wrestle every single night of the tour. Yes, I'm bored at work, lol.
