I've been reading Tower of God over at the Webtoons site. Ads are blocked and I do not pay into their "coin" system. The internet really does make it easy for us to be lazy and steal. I guess the simplest explanation is I'm being a cheap ass. Right now is when I'd usually go read the comic, instead I'm posting here. Got to break that cycle somehow. I can say the same for Crunchyroll too since it has been a couple years since I've paid for their service. Life priorities change which means it can be time to move on from some things.

The internet in general is poorer for not having figured out a proper way to pay for content early enough in its history - something like how the Brave handles micropayments for content would be a good start. We all know where 'free internet stuff' culture has got us, we're now tagged and bagged, we are the product, until we pay to become the customer.

I do comixology unlimited and buy from the kindle store. But usually I just skip everything else because I am not up for too many 'ecosystems'

Streaming video services are the same for me, one or two is my limit... I will trial period a show on a throw away account if there is one worth doing that for.
