What you're saying makes sense to get around TOS in order to supply the demand, but it doesn't prove the existence of the demand. I haven't seen evidence of the 2 genres in the OP being top searches, yet the stuff gets served up by default.

This is about the limit of my knowledge here but incest has been a thing forever and isn't limited to humans.

I think 'step' videos being pushed so hard is a bit of a feedback loop in the programming. Because everything is 'step', it makes it more common everywhere. People may not be searching for it because it's so prevalent now. Step is now the default because of that, I would guess.

I see a few potential sources:
1) the internet has done an incredible job of connecting people anonymously with others who share similar interests. To me, this is why furries became so prevalent. Hell, when I was a kid it was nerdy to be into video games and the internet. I found like minded people online as a young person and it eventually led me to creating an account here, though these days games & internet communities are more socially accepted.

2) I suspect the younger generation may be a source of increased demand. As I understand it, they are having less sex and waiting longer to lose their virginity than previous generations. I would guess that for them, having access to a sibling, parent, or other close relation is source of potential sexual activity where there is otherwise none.

3) piggy-backing off of point #2... I read a comment on Reddit years ago, before it was as common as it is now, that said they suspected kids without siblings. Basically, they do not understand the actual family dynamics that go on in most households. So they would fetishize.

And just to clarify, I'm not a proponent of incest. I genuinely find weird, niche communities/hobbies/groups fascinating. I blame Louis Theroux for introducing me to more strange communities, though I was exposed to UFO stuff as teenager as my dad is super into that stuff.
