Why can't we just separate the Nintendo stuff?

well, i can't say that i am shocked at Oogami's inability to name any names other than the generic "mods and admins"
What really annoyed me that I think may have began this whole mess was what happened with the Nintendogs thread started by Olimario. I believe it was Drinky that closed the thread saying it didn't belong in the gaming forum because it wasn't a game. Then someone started a reactionary thread, which he closed, and a replacement Nintendogs thread, which he closed, and eventually the original Nintendogs thread was reopened.
The problem there was Drinky's behavior as a mod. I don't care if people are going to say it's not a game. I think that would lead to some interesting or amusing discussion. And I can laugh at trolls when they make funny jokes without trying to derail the thread over it. But he fucked around with the forums and that's frustrating. Now perfectly good posters are getting banned for the stupid reasons. The mods behind this should be de-modded.
To me, trolls are annoying when they completely derail threads with ceaseless, biased arguments. But a mod troll that messes up threads and peoples' accounts is the worst. GAF went from a forum of pretty open discussion to biased mods screwing around with accounts and threads, violating their own terms of agreement for the forum.

How about you STOP being a Nintendo fanboy? Seriously. Buy a PS2 and/or an Xbox to accompany your Gamecube, and try to enjoy some other content. Wait, what about Sega fans? Or did they die out with the Dreamcast (I know they didn't because I have a close friend who still praises Sega's efforts).
As for buying the PS2, thats a good plan, buy an XBox, a PC and a dreamcast too. You can't enjoy games unless you buy every system available as you arn't experienced to the full market.

Just because you aren't necessarily taken with a particular platform doesn't make you a fanboy and neither is it because you have a particular favorite platform. It's the irrational shit that makes someone a fanboy.
Basically, my attitude is, I like what I like - I don't like what I don't like, and the reason is because of the product itself, not because of who made said product. That's just nuts. Hell, Nvidia pissed me off with the FX series of vid cards, and I said so verbally, but now I have a 6800 GT because IMO it's a good card (supports PS3). Anyway, drop the fanboy shit on all fronts people. It's stupid and kiddy.

If you go back in GA history, Sony fans were probably the most-attacked for a while, then Sega fans, then Microsoft fans, now Nintendo fans. It's all numbers. The minority gets it.
In a couple of years, I suspect it will be Sony fans, as the Sony fanboys get more shrill as MS gets more successful. That's my prediction.

Everyone is missing the bigger point here: A Nintendo-only forum would not work because there would only be three threads every quarter-year. One to talk about the new Nintendo game, another to talk about its sales, and another to discuss possible backlash against it. There would be nothing else to discuss for another four months until the next Nintendo mascot-rehash comes out.
Things have taken a marked turn for the ugly because of GAF getting Haxxored. The Nintendogs conflict is more funny than anything else especially since the Nintendo crowd for once took the initiative and counter punched real good via the Drinky Puppy club.
