Poop doesn't smell bad. Well, if you smell other people's poop it stinks. But why would you want to do that? Just smell your own and everything will be OK!

I think it stinks for the same reason everything does, to tell you something is wrong. If you smell something bad, odds are its nature's way of telling you its bad for you. You can drink your own urine, but eating poop will mess you up.

Actually, mostly feces is composed of dead cells, and bile. Bile smells like the devil.
