I think this is the best answer. N64 rocked in multiplayer, there were so many good 4 player games on the console.Ash Housewares said:four controller ports
Yea, maybe because I was younger back then...but there wasn't arguments about which console was more powerful or whatever. It was game against game. GOLDENEYE IS SO MUCH BETTER THAN METAL GEAR SOLID!!! MARIO KART IS KIDDY TWISTED METAL IS SO COOL!!koam said:Best thing about last generation:
N64 games were unique to the N64 and PSX to the PSX. It was great having two consoles and getting totally unique games on both instead of all the multiconsole ports we get now.

Both of em!

:Motorbass said:Uhm could you be more specific? I was told that it only works with this adapter:

and a special code (E93D0054 0000003F) and shit.
Actually, I have S&P at home, bought a different adapter but it didnt work. (have PAL-N64)
So the game sits at here for 2 years, unused and gets no love. :[
GitarooMan said:I have an SFX 64 Universal Game Adapter made by some company called Blaze, might not be so easy to find nowadays I don't know. Works fine with Sin and Punishment, I don't have any other n64 imports so I don't know about other compatibility. I don't have to put in any codes at all.
By the way, Musashi is right modding is really easy, I just never bothered because I didn't need to

EDIT: my bad, I should learn to read, a PAL N64 is a whole different beast, sounds like it's harder to mod. The US/JP N64's are mostly identical other than the tabs, so it's much easier, that passport thing is probably your best bet....
Must be some young whipper-snapper comparing his n64 to his GBA portsPimpbaa said:N64 better than SNES? Blasphemer! Turn in your gaming badge, you are not allowed to game anymore!
Suburban Cowboy said:N64 is the worst console i have ever owned. Very few 3d party games and the ones we got were usually shit, EVERYTHING got delayed, there were huge 1st party game droughts (which seemed even longer than they were because of the 3rd party thing i mentioned)
I really disliked the system.
M64 was not nearly as great as the SNES/NES ones
MK64< SNES Kart
DK64 sucked ass
wasnt a big zelda fan at the time
Paper mario < Mario RPG
No Metroid
No good RPG's
Really they should have just called it the Rare 64. Goldeneye and Banjo pwnt. Though Smash Bros obviously was a great addition to the Nintendo franchise list.
Really its hard to judge the console fairly after the fact. Do any of you remember how INFURIATING the constant delays were?
