Why is "bitch" allowed on TV?

I see it no different than the word Jackass. It's all about the meaning of the word. Fuck and shit are literal in there meanings.
 
Because bitch, damn, piss, and ass are considered less offensive then say fuck or shit for some reason. Who knows, it's all nonsensical.

I don't think that's true, I think they're only allowed one or two muted "fuck"s a season. I don't recall ever actually hearing it.

As do I. I am not sure if CBC is allowing that to drop like rain droplets but on the radio people still get kinda shushed if they accidentally say the word "shit".
 
Different curse words and insults are considered to have different levels of rudeness or acceptability. Further, different countries rate them differently. Words that are unacceptable in some countries are acceptable in others.
 
Oh, America and your restrictions on words people can say on TV! As long as its after 9pm here, you can say anything on TV as often as you like.

All of those words are allowed on my TV.

But if that were the case, I'd presume it's because that word is seen to be a very mild swear word nowadays in comparison to the others and is a common and increasingly acceptable word to express displeasure.

They're allowed one fuck per season, but it's muted when it airs on AMC. Unmuted on Amazon, iTunes, Bluray and DVD.
 
Doesn't British television allow stuff like asses and titties on air all the time? I remember in Skins, five seconds in, you see some boobage and a vag.

Yeah you can pretty much say anything here too, don't think there's any time restrictions on (like after 9), at least I hear fuck, shit and so on used all the time uncensored at all times.
