Edmonton's milkshake attracts no boys.
I just downloaed a new album and every time I try to play a song from that album Winamp acts sluggish. It loads the song right away, but when I try to goto the Winamp window it takes a long time. And when I try to switch from a song on this album to another mp3 I have to wait a while for it to load. This sluggish performance only happens for these songs on this album only.. which I find weird. The songs are 192 kbps... nothing too fancy so I dont know what the deal is.

I HUNGER FOR RAM GIVE ME MORE RAM MMM RAM i eat you up. try foobar with some extensions. Slugishness be DAMNED ram be saved.

It aint a ram problem. My ram rocks. It seems to be only these certain songs.. I was hoping it might be a commen problem....

But whats this foobar you speak of?

http://www.foobar2000.org/

it doesnt use as much ram and processing power. Its really good.

But to adress the problem are those songs .mp3 or another format? I have lots of problems when it plays a .mp3 to .ogg or .mp4 it gaps a lot. Thats why i use Foobar.

I thoguht it might be different format too.. but they all seem to be .mp3's. This is odd I just downloaded some more mp3s and they all play with good performance. It's still only this batch from this album that run slowly.

I was gonna make a new thread, but I'll ask here instead... Why does Windows Media Player refuse to play many MP3s I download from LimeWire? They play fine with QuickTime (and other players I assume) but WMP gives me a "Windows Media Player cannot play the file. The file is either corrupt or the Player does not support the format you are trying to play." message.

Does anyone know why this happens and how can I fix it?
