Why the f is Reddit so rigid?

Logged on just now to find out I have been perma banned. Oh well. Based on what everyone here has said, I am not going to appeal the ban or their BS. They did me a favor. I wish I had come here first to ask about the site and save myself some trouble. EDIT: I put in an account deletion request.

I got a post deleted on a Wednesday because you weren't allowed to ask technical / for help on a Wednesday.

Or something. But…

The fucking ironic thing is, I wrote the post on the Saturday (not even realising this was a thing) but some dip shit saw it on the Wednesday and deleted it and warned me if I did it again I'd be out of the sub.

I have no fucking idea what drugs this person was on.

You don't have to know what drugs they were on. Fact is they were on something.

I ended up closing my Reddit account after just a few months. I kept getting messages from mods saying my posts were offensive, but when I asked for clarification or a link to the post in question, they'd refuse to help. I'm not about to spend time digging through dozens of comments trying to guess what triggered someone.

You also can't really share an honest opinion without getting massively downvoted unless you stick to the popular narrative.

The final straw for me was getting downvoted to oblivion in a subreddit where people were openly mocking or trolling Bella Ramsey in The Last of Us Season 2. I pushed back against it, and apparently that wasn't welcome either.

There's something seriously broken about how Reddit operates, and I honestly don't understand how it's become so popular.

The problem is that owners of the site will get billions from such a deal. What's stopping them from starting another social media platform with (part of) that money? Sure Bluesky isn't as popular as Twitter, but it's a slow process as people are used to posting in the same place.
Let me annotate the process of Bluesky taking over courtesy of Google Trends:

I made an account there 4 days ago and ever since then, every single topic I create gets either insta deleted by an automod, or gets deleted an hour later by a real mod. Same goes for any comment I try to make. I get a message from an auto mod telling me that I am not allowed to post because I am too new.

So, let me see if I understand this about reddit: You get karma for good posts upvoted which enables you to post at other sub reddits, but reddit and these sub reddits will not let you post because you have no karma which reddit and these sub reddits will not let you get in the first place unless you do?

Am I stupid or is this bullshit designed to gate keep everyone out in a catch 22 situation?

I could understand if my comments were trolling bullshit, but none of them were. I only have interest in the various gaming related subs, but they all keep kicking me out like there is a big ass bouncer at the door.
Sorry mate but that's how it goes over there, it barely worth the work of getting around all that especially now that the best subs are compromised now
