Why they are not constantly remaking all the classics - all the time?

Why a remake when you can just pop it in and play if you already own the original?
Because remakes aren't the same games as originals.

The reason why I want more remakes isn't because I want a replacement for original, but rather because I want to experience already familiar characters, settings, and story, but in modern, different way.

I play old games all the time, but that doesn't mean that I also don't enjoy to see their modern versions.

Is it because you want better graphics or just with more modern controls?

Enhancements on pc emulating makes most games look like a HD remaster.

If possible, I wish it was more than just better graphics - for instance, the upcoming MGS: Delta is just that, with only some minor changes, and tweaks, and to be honest, while I pre-ordered game to support the franchise, and will most likely enjoy Delta for what it is, I do wish people in Konami took more freedom with it.

I am very familiar with emulation, which is why I am not very fond of remasters, considering that we live in an era where we can make our own for all intents and purposes, in some cases even better than the official stuff - various shaders, upscales, HD textures, and decompilations.

Yet, there is only so much you can do with a remaster for decades old titles.

As for controls, dunno, I like how they evolved, and improved over the years, but to be honest, I never really had problems adapting quickly to any kind of controls, no matter how outdated they may be at this point.

Why not... Both then?

Although, frankly, from what I saw, when given a choice much more people will choose a remake to play after all these years.

They may be classics, but they ARE showing their age.
Other than graphics, can you explain how SSX Tricky and SSX 3 are 'showing their age'?
