Yep, even more so when you consider a 250gb 360 Slim retails for £179.99 in most retail stores and on amazon. £50 extra for a BRAND NEW console?! Yes please!
Considering I was expecting £299.99 for the basic model, I'm very pleased with £220. And it's on my pay-day too!

I can only hope they don't sell much at the current price and drop it back down. I still don't know why they changed it from £200, the greedy bastards.It should be some kind of mistake as Nintendo confirmed that it will be worth until 2014 and that it might take up to 3 months to become fully activated but that all purchases made from the launch date will be considered for the extra points offer as soon as the Premium program starts.

Seeing as the trade prices are supposed to be £205 for the white and £246 for the black, it's hardly them being profiteering to raise it from £200.
I do think £250 is too much, however, but I'm sure the price will work it's way back down to the £220 ish it was on Amazon for a while yesterday.

Well, I was kinda planning on waiting until next christmas and this certainly made that a lot easier.

If that includes both Nintendoland, ZombiU and the pro controller that's not a bad price (there seems to be differing opinions if Nintendoland is included or not, my guess is it is)!

How reliable are Zavvi for hardware pre-orders?
That's £50 cheaper than GAME but can I trust them to get it to me day 1? I've put an order in just in case, but I won't cancel my GAME order til I hear some feedback

If anything like games, awful. ShopTo have that bundle for £325, that's what I'm going with. At least I know ShopTo will have it with me on time.

I don't know about hardware, but in terms of software they are completely unreliable (in my personal experience).
Preordered the Resident Evil Revelations/Circle Pad bundle from them for £30. Great deal right? Well two weeks after release, it still hadn't arrived. I rang and the woman didn't really know what had gone on, but she said I could either cancel the order, or order a replacement copy... but that there was as much chance of that getting lost too!! Of course this is one isolated incident, but I've heard so many other stories.
(Oh, and they took the money out of my account regardless. Luckily I got it back.)
I've never had trouble buying games from Zavvi though, don't know if they've gone for the worse since I abandoned them in favour of Amazon.
I preordered that exact same offer and it arrived home in time without any fuss.

Yeah, I've heard they're kinda bad with games.
I'm going to cancel. £50 extra for peace of mind is worth it.

I am in Malta and we have the same type of plugs used in the UK. I preordered a Wii U from Spain and it seems they use the fat two pin type of connectors there. Can I use the Wii PSU with the WIi U? My Wii PSU is UK type. Thanks!

I've only ever used them for 1 hardware pre-order which was the 3DS XL and they got it to me before launch. Some people have problems with them, others are lucky I guess.
Just get a plug adapter like this at your local hardware store and you're good to go. Worked for me the other way round (UK 3DS in Spain)

It might take a week or more before you know whether Amazon will cancel or honour the price mistake.

I see, if a rep says so, than yeah, you are safe. But with the DOA5 CE, it took like 8 days before they contacted customers that they will still be honouring the price.
