Wii-U - Amazon listing UK prices and launch date

Hmm so Amazon dispatched my Games and Console in the one Package even though they were completely different orders. Never seen that before.

Won't be here till Monday but hey I got it for £199 so no complaints.

HDNL/Yodel received my Wii U at Hatfield at 17:45 today, so it's already pretty close. If the delivery depot is really Hitchin, they would only be 15 minutes away, so I'll probably see this at 17:00 November 30th...2018

That's definitively wrong. There's certainly no shortages online so far, since you can go to most sites and pre-order a basic or premium console, or even like from Amazon that still had the Zombi U bundles available today. Probably Nintendo sent most consoles to big retailers for launch tho.

I had 3 separate orders that have ended up in the same box with the same tracking number, they all changed to dispatched at different times after 7pm but when I track they were scanned at a depot about 4 hours earlier. So I think the site is just slow to update.

I have gone through the updates and I have my NNID warerare. If anyone wants to add me feel free but do it through a search on MiiVerse so I get the request sent me. My Wii U now has to go away until Crimbo but I look forward to seeing you in the MiiVerse.

It seems a lot of shops received extra ZombieU packs. Since yesterday they've been in and out of stock all over again.

I cancelled my Basic and ordered a ZombieU a few hours ago. Its being dispatched tomorrow. A bit late, but better than waiting two weeks for a delayed Basic. So i'm happy. :)
 
Hmm, when I try to navigate menus using the left stick it keeps moving the selection up and down, i'm pretty positive I'm not pushing the stick up or down at all - anybody else having this? if I use the d-pad it's just fine.
 
Anyone pre order from tesco? No dispatch email yet (but in my experience theyre rubbish at sending timely emails, i've had stuff arrive and the dispatch email came later!).

It's all pretty messed at the minute. And the whole 'guaranteed between 30th November and 15th December' business has fucked shit up even more. If it was true, starting tomorrow there would be a constant back-order on all units until every last order was fulfilled. Somehow I doubt that'll happen.

Anyway, like I posted before: It seems that(probably) because the initial preorder allocation of ZombieU bundles was so small, a lot of extra unreserved units have come into stock (since yesterday).

Just setting mine up now. Connected ok to my wifi at least. It's a surprisingly heavy console considering the size. And really long. Almost doesnt fit in my cupboard.

Just need to work out where the charging cradle will go. That gamepad is wide

Will go into town tomorrow to trade in halo 4 (I still have no idea what the story is in that), get another eshop voucher so I can buy NSMBU, and see if they have any gamepad chargers - I'll want a spare loose one that can reach the sofa as well as the neatness of the charging cradle

Well I think my credit card might had been charged,as there is no way to cancell the order or change anything. So I might just wait, it also says "dispatching soon". However it been saying this for a day or so. Ill wait a day, since Im also waiting for a cable so that I can play my WiiU.

no idea why the website never updated to dispatched.

Almost definitely a script. I phoned people up about Vita preorders and had to try and flog them a starter kit with it whilst making it sound like part of a super awesome bundle. Admittedly if someone was like 'Nah don't want that, just the Vita for me' then we weren't trying to pull some 'no way man you gotta get it with a starter kit' nonsense.

My Basic Wii U wasn't even in the process of being dispatched, I know this because my request for a cancellation was immediate.

I don't know what the hell Amazon are playing at though. The premium is no longer available from them. People were preordering this morning and having it dispatched the same day, even though some people with preorders prior 5th of November have still not even been dispatched. Bitches be cray.

Mine too, paid £5 for one day delivery on my deluxe console which is coming by Royal Mail Special Delivery ( before 1pm tomorrow ) but they seem to have bundled my free Super Saver game in the same box as they both have the same tracking number. Bonus!
 
Ok I got an email from amazon that my order just got dispatched. However the order details can only be accessed from the link from the email, however order is not found on the ordered lists on amazon. It is comming never the less tomorrow :-)

How reliable is City Sprint?
 
Wow...the gamepad is really nice!

It's bigger than I thought too...but it feels so nice...Nintendo really knows about controller design...

Just got home....my Zombi U bundle came from shopto :)

So easy to set up and its now downloading the update, donw about 45% at a guess in 35 minutes. Not too bad. It's so beautiful, it feels like I'm back into gaming now, I dunno but Xbox 360 has just tired me out with gaming, maybe this will finally draw me back in with multiplayer that puts a smile on your face!!

*will still be on black ops 2 xbox later probably, haha*
 
All this talk about clock speeds....

I wish the clock for the Wii U was faster. Then I'd get my console quicker.

Yodel did that to me with a toothbrush. They had to manually reroute it to my city. It was like, who even put it on a van to Birmingham anyway? Like, wtf? O_o

Another potential HDNL victim here, which is rather worrying.

I work in an online retail distribution centre, and while it's pretty small and informal compared to somewhere like Amazon (where I've also worked), we're still deadly serious about stuff reaching clients on time. We stopped sending packages via DHL/Yodel/HDNL this year, after increasingly poor performance, as soon as our contract with them expired. The funny part is they still sometimes turn up expecting to pick up stuff, or deliver stock addressed to another site. They're useless.

To be fair though they did deliver a 360 to me earlier this year on time, so fingers crossed.
 
Sainsbury's orders now have tracking, mine's in the birmingham hub at the moment.

For those of you with android phones, give Package Buddy a go. It's pretty great.
