Indeed, I wasn't too bothered about playing it tonight, was just happy I could get the console update, ZombiU update and Fifa demo. Just hope Nintendoland and Mario come tomorrow so I can get them updated before I take it to my fiances parents for the weekend and then my sisters! Wii U multiplayer weekend, can't wait.

They did the exact same to me. One of my orders was not even gaming related.

Edit: oh so now according to amazons tracking they tried to deliver last night at 8:30 but couldn't and left me a card with contact details to re-arrange delivery.

Yes, lettme just call the number on the card now using my invisible phone. I'll speak fluent French and use pixie dust for greater reception. This will be a wonderful day.
 
I was unable to buy ZombiU yesterday evening from the eShop, it said that the content was restricted. It appeared to be the only game that I could not buy, as I was able to buy NSMB-U.

I guess the purchase was limited to after 30/11 only?

Did anyone experience this? I'm gonna try it again today after I leave work.

GAME would be the very last place I would go. Their prices are outrageous. Surely there are other shops you could get to.
 
Fucking Amazon :( Phoned customer support twice and they won't give me a straight answer about the missing Nintendoland. They said they'll email me, but no sign yet.

I booked today off work for this. This fucking sucks. :(
 
Morning all!

My first Wii U item of the day has arrived - I'm now the proud owner of Zombi U.
My console is still 60 miles away.

Still, at least if Amazon mess up with Nintendoland, I'll still have a game to play.

£50 at game, £50 in the eshop. Only bought it because I hadn't preordered and had bought some eshop vouchers with tradeins recently. Thought the 10% would be nice but fuck that. I like the idea of the convenience of digital, but I like online prices even more (I think NSMBU was £38-40 online)
 
DPD site says it gives delivery windows, but I'm wary it might pop up any time. Either way, it's at the depot and ready to go out...

Just pls get here now.

Knowing them, it will be, despite being £45 online. I really hate how GAME seem to be one of the only shops on the high street that can't even match itself when it comes to pricing. For example NSMBU is £45 online at GAME right now.

Anyway, my delivery left Cambridge at 8am, so taking bets on when HDNL will not turn up?

DPD are usually exceptional when it comes to that hourly slot. If/when you get a text from them or the tracking updates with a delivery slot, 99% of the time it ends up smack in the middle of it.

If you have a deluxe pack, I'd buy an eshop voucher from them with your funny money, and use that on the eshop. Same price but you get instant access without needing a disc, plus 10% back in points which is almost worth a little eshop game.

Mine is on the vehicle for delivery from TNT! The worst part, though, is that the depot is about 5 minutes walk from my house. I could have just collected it, guys.
 
My Wii U actually made it all the way from Amazon UK at 2 PM yesterday and as of 7:45 AM it's now out for delivery in Denmark. That is pretty neat, I didn't think it would actually make it all the way in such a short time.
 
Just posted this in the launch day thread but thought I'd pop it here as well as it seemed completley bizare to me.

Two girls infront of me had pre-ordered a ZombiU edition. They definitely wanted the ZombiU edition, because they paid the extra for it and actually kicked up a fuss when the girl behind the til originally thought their pre-order was only for the Premium. So they pay and the clerk starts bagging up the system. As soon as she does, one of the girls asks her not to as they want to open the box to trade in ZombiU for Mario. The member of staff prices up ZombiU, which she gets just £20 for, and then they pay the extra £30 for Mario.

Um..?
 
So they could have a Premium with NSMBU *and* Nintendo Land for.. about the same price they ended up paying? How bizarre.

Baffling isn't it.

My maths is really bad but I've just tried doing the numbers and can't find any scenario where they didn't get shafted. They've also wasted a ZombiU bundle so I hope nobody ends up dissapointed from my local store today.

my ac3 came this morning which is odd because they cancelled my order, so im going to end up with two copys.
 
So after seeing how useless HDNL's site was I called a few numbers. Each requested an 8 digit reference left on the calling card I don't have. So I had amazon call me who in turn called HDNL. I am now the proud owner of... The drivers phone number.

They apparently couldn't get in yesterday (the buzzer couldn't be more simple) and drove away. Anyway, they're calling me when at the gates so I can at least rest easy(er). Knowing they wouldn't be coming until pm I nipped out and got farcry3. Traded nfs at hmv (£25 if you use the app), £15 left to pay. Installing now.
 
gahh stuck at home waiting for the delivery but i want to go out and pick up mario and maybe something else.

considering ninja gaiden since I actually read good things about the wii u version, maybe even dynasty warriors or whatever its called.

it seems like no one on gaf has played ninja gaiden wiiu though :S

Spoke too soon. DPD website changed to attempted delivery, no one at home. I look out the window and a plain white BMW van is driving off. Didn't buzz my flat, got no card.

Called the customer services and they are going to call the driver to give him my mobile number.

I used Zavvi.

I used CheapArse GAF thread and scavenged for Zavvi 10%-15% codes that popped up over the past few months/weeks and pre-ordered Mario/Bayonetta/Pikmin/NG:RE/The Wonderful 101/Rayman Legends for £32-£35.

Unfortunately the demise of GAME/Gamestation/Blockbuster on the high street means the Supermarkets can collude and price-fix so the ol'days of cheap games from the supermarkets is probably a thing of the past and reserved for CoD/FIFA.

Ok it's only just before 12pm but I wish Yodel/HDNL could give an hour time slot. The thing left Cambridge before 8am, but no sign as yet.

If they even dare to not deliver this and say they tried (I'm not leaving the house until it gets here), I will throw many toys at Amazon!
 
How are the retail stores looking? Does it look like a sell-out for Nintendo? I noticed there wasn't all that many people at the hmv launch last night but that could have been because it was cold.
