So I guess that Gamestop Italy list could be legit?
Codemasters announced F1 Race Stars this morning..
announced but not on wiiu...
i don't know gamestop italy is not reliable
sorry for the bad english XD
I'll just change this post, what Wii U games do you hope comes to the Wii U?.
What could have happened?
A lot of smaller devs seem happy with the Wii U. I attribute it to these things:
1. The WiiU eshop/digital/online strategy is good. Devs are already much happier with the 3DS e-shop than with the Wii or DS, and WiiU should look to further that
2. Nintendo reached out to them
3. WiiU is pretty easy to work with
4. These devs are not working on "hardcore AAA" FPS games they think will only sell on the 360/PS3.
5. The emphasis in WiiU is more on fun games than super tech and high production, which works well for smaller companies

Wii U is 'definitely more powerful than 360 and PS3' - Scribblenauts dev
"definitely more powerful than Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. It's kind of frustrating to see the rumours and speculation of people going back and forth saying it's weaker or more powerful. It's definitely more powerful."
"Nintendo came to our studio and demoed it to us. A couple of weeks later Warner Bros. got to see it, and we said we should do this. This game was originally a Wii title but later moved to Wii U. It's been about two years in development."
- It can play fun games.
is_this_neogaf.png?Responding with more than just yes and no.
- Yes, it should be about to produce better looking games in the long run.
- It can already run CryEngine 3. It can probably run Unreal Engine 4. Epic won't port it as it is not in their best interest.
- Games exist that haven't been announced.
- Depends on the game, and the game engine.
- It can play fun games. It won't get every game from next generation, or the current. Enjoy what it is, not what it isn't.
I really think we shouldn't put things like that; for reasons that were discussed previously. So yeah, don't worry about 900 GFLOPs, the ability to bypass APIs will effectively practically make it 1.5 TFLOPS, not literally speaking. It just needs more harder effort to make it happen
Tomb Raider, Crysis 3, Dishonored, Dead Space 3, Resident Evil 6, Bioshock: Infinite, you know 3rd party multiplatform titles.I'll just change this post, what Wii U games do you hope comes to the Wii U?.
Yes to all.So, just a few questions about the WiiU... just respond with yes or no.
-It is more powerful than PS360
-It can run CryEngine3 and UE4, but Epic won't port their engine themselves
-More games are coming, we just need to wait
-It could handle PS4/720 games (if they aren't super powerful) but they won't look as good
-Overall, it is a capable machine, if a little underwhelming
So?
Basically, an open system like a PC needs brute force to make a game run beautifully (hence the TFLOPS needed) while a closed system is more efficient and optimized so it doesn't need as much brute force (hence the rumors of 576 Gflops)He doesn't say it in your face, you have to listen his words carefully
Snippet from John Carmack:
"it is unhappily true that we have these consoles here running at sixty frames per second, and we could have these massively more powerful PC systems that struggle sometimes to hold the same framerate because of unnecessary overheads. If we were programming that hardware directly on the metal the same way we do consoles, it would be significantly more powerful."
And just to put that into perspective here's a twitter post of one example: https://twitter.com/id_aa_carmack/status/30655938016837632

If IDTech5 can make it why UE4 can't
Even USB 2.0 has a faster data transfer rate than most blu-ray drives so it's fast enough for me.So only a miracle can make USB 3.0 happen, that's a shame really, they will regret that.
All first party franchises. (I need to see them in HD, kinda like how the N64 introduced the franchises to 3D gaming)I'll just change this post, what Wii U games do you hope comes to the Wii U?.

That stand is not official. It's a folded piece of cardboard.
The third quarter due to Nintendo will launch Wii U
I'll just change this post, what Wii U games do you hope comes to the Wii U?.
From Nintendo's usual IP's I'd like to see Metroid Prime 4 more than anything else. I'd like to see a new F-Zero game, and I'd like to see a Smash Bros. game with an actually enjoyable single player campaign.
From everybody else, I'd like to see games I can't get on PC, or Sony/Microsoft's next generation systems.
Haha. After today I'm mostly satisfied with Wii U. I've given up on USB 3.0 ports.
I'm going with no as I think Nintendo expects people won't be making the same motions as with the Wiimote.
The sooner you realize that USB 3.0 is a pipe dream, the closer you get to happiness. Or something.
I'll make a video of me doing something horribly unpleasant if the initial production of Wii U includes USB 3.0. Maybe eating steamed broccoli... without cheese.

You don't have to be making any motion to drop a controller. Sometimes it can just slip and fall from your hands.
Yeah, extra care needs to be taken with the GamePad. Sometimes I'll "forcefully press" my Wiimote into the floor when I'm gaming online out of... frustration, so we better be sure we're nice to the screened controller.
No dropping it while using the porn curtains, now!
Sometimes I'll forcefully press my Wiimote in between the couch cushions because it feels good.

Just Dance 4 Trailer confirms Wii U stand.

I think it's scary you post on B3D if we're going that route.
...and by "couch cushions" you mean...?
;-)
If I told you that I might get banned.

B3D is an extremely pale shadow of it's former self.
Just a quick question for BG or anyone else that may have infos. How likely is it that the other two next gen consoles will run at 2Tflops or better? I know the target was at 1.8, but do you think they might give in, if only a little bit, to Epic's demands?

Nothing we didn't already know, except maybe nauts started life on Wii?
Unpleasant? You should be happy Wii U wouldn't be stuck with a soon to be outdated port.
The strap was always there, but they made the strings more durable and added the condom.I know, but looking at this from Nintendo's perspective they didn't add a strap to the Wiimote till people started slinging them into their TVs. I don't see Nintendo adding that cost due to the motion used for the pad.
That's interesting that they actually are getting frustrated by the low power rumors, when all these "anonymous" developers are seemingly excited as hell to share their difficulties with everyone. Nice to hear something different.
Nah, I'm just saying that I think there's no way it'll happen. One 3.0 port would be fine, but I don't see Nintendo changing it.
Of course, they have made last-minute hardware changes before (Wiimote speaker?) so what the hell do I know.

Quick question about Assassin's Creed 3: There's a big difference in colors between the WiiU and PS3 version that Ubisoft showed. Does anyone know what causes this?

Like Van Owen said it's off screen so it's probably due to the lighting in the background where they are playing the demo. Here are two gifs I made of the same section of the Bird demo.

Yeah I did some searching on Havok and didn't see anything that gave much credence to GPU accelerated physics with it. But some might choose to not use Havok and therefore use the GPU for physics if Havok is totally dependent on the CPU.
I was wondering if you'd catch that.
Wii U GPU possibly more capable than a 4870 confirmed!
Sorry USC-fan, but I think we should assume an underclock rather than overclock. Nintendo has a history of underclocking to tech geeks expectations. It makes sense from their perspective since it will increase reliability (less heat), but also allow for higher yields, since they don't need to cherry pick the best silicone that runs well at higher speeds. It will also run cooler, allowing for a quieter system, which they stated they wanted.maybe a over clock 4670.

It's pretty disturbing nintendo is that desperate they could not provided one eSata port.
