Will humanity ever give up eating meat? When?

We should eat rabbits then... :P
Though isn't the reason we have to cull is cause we eliminated their natural predators?

In the US, yes. In Australia, no. They're invasive there.

When (if ever) do you see humans having converted to an animal-free diet? How long till we're looked back as on as cruel barbarians by our future ancestors who will never know the sweet taste of a perfectly cooked steak?

This is when...

Probably in the future on some first world country, maybe Canada, New Zealand or Germany.

That and lab created meat.

Anyways, I feel just like you. I feel like a hypocrite but it's so fucking delicious. The only thing that freaks me out is when I bite on cartilage or I see a big vein popping out of the cut meat. That shit gets me grossed out.

Edit: Churrasco (skirt Steak) is the best piece of steak. Can't believe you americans don't eat it; at least I couldn't find some when I went to the US; only in hispanic grocery stores.

I always thought churrasco was a synonym to grilled meat, not a specific cut.

As much as I LOVE me some steak I feel that the OP has a point. Since population is rapidly increasing, it has resulted in many meat shortages. I believe that one day we will have to stop eating meat. But that day is not today...

It's a specific cut

a delicious one

Edit:

In Puerto Rico it always refers to skirt steak, cooked on a barbecue grill. The chimichurri sauce is optional, since the meat is very savory with just a slight hint of sea salt that is sprinkled over the meat during cooking. It is also customary to replace chimichurri sauce with a guava rum sauce made with spices and 7up or Ajilimójili sauce.

Guess other countries use it for different meats but not here.
