With the huge popularity of mobile phone games in Japan as well as in America (not sure of the scene in Europe), I can't help but wonder if Game Boy Next (or the one after that) will be a sort of cell phone/game boy unit, ala N-Gage. Although Nokia's first attempt failed, I hear the newest one isn't that bad.
Do you think Nintendo could do it right? Or if they would even consider it?
As it is, people are carrying around more and more portable devices. iPod, GBA/SP, NDS, PSP, cell phone, etc. So it'd be nice to have a good hybrid, in my opinion.
Plus, Nintendo could probably make a killing off of downloadable games. Pay a nominal fee to download NES/SNES/64 classics? I'd buy a dozen right off the bat.
