I don't care about handhelds, but one thing I know for damn sure:

GigaBowser threads will outperform all other GAF threads.

The Switch 2 better damn outperform steamdeck since it's newer more expensive and doesn't have to deal with all the pc shit.

Switch 2 having DLSS is nice, it's always something PC handhelds have missed out on sadly but it's just a 1050Ti in docked mode. Switch 2 isn't a magic machine.

OP, I picked the last option because it made me laugh.

But realistically, I do think the DLSS is going to give it an edge.

Plus seeing the kind of magic Switch ports pulled off, where they approximated PS4 graphics on what was a machine with not a whole lot more power than a Wii U. (For example, Breath of the Wild ran at 720p/20-30fps on the Wii U and 540p-to-720p/25-30fps on the Switch in handheld mode.) Yet they got games like The Witcher 3 and Doom (2016) to work on it.

It's more powerful than the Steam Deck, but there are more expensive PC handhelds that will outperform the Switch 2 in graphics/frame-rate.

The big advantage is DLSS just giving cleaner overall image quality, which will be reduced when newer PC handhelds use AMD chips with FSR4. Console optimization can only go so far.

Thread doesn't even make sense. Soon after the Knob 2 is released there will be more powerful PC handhelds released, there's no winning with a stagnant console platform.

it has bigger market than PC handheld, of course it will as hardware, as software, it won't be good comparison, because it has technically immortal video game platform timeline.

There will always be a better more expensive PC product with more frames. The difference just won't be so horribly painful where the Switch version is like a completely different game.

Pound for pound, on devices that cost about the same as the Switch 2. I don't think it will be flattering for them.

It won't run my favorite games so zero performance there.

I'm sure it will perform well for N though.

Loads of PC exclusive games. Dwarf Fortress is a big one currently. Live for Speed is my sim racing evergreen.

Why do you ask?
I was curious what games you thought wouldn't run on Switch 2, but the sort of games you mentioned make perfect sense as things which wouldn't be ported.

No. However, it might have exclusive games that look better. If you doubled the frame rate and resolution of Luigi's Mansion 3 but Kept all assets the same and put it on the PS5 I wouldn't second guess it. I imagine Luigi's Mansion 4 will be on the same.

Its a tad bit weaker than the steam deck in portable mode but nearly on par with the rog ally/msi claw/legion lenovo go in docked mode.

With dlss it'll be interesting to see comparisons. If we get comparable quality and performance from a $450 system I'd consider that a huge plus

I still expect the rog ally x (and eventual 2) to be kings in top performance though.
