Will XIII ever have a Sequel?

My friend let me borrow XIII a couple weeks ago and I just finished it tonight and the Story was almost goldeneye level. In fact accept for a couple of TS2 levels XIII is the closest thing to Goldeneye in mechanics and presentation. The first few levels are average at best but once you get to Prison/Labaratory the story and gameplay picks up very quickly and seldom dissapoints afterwards. A lot of the early complaints I had like aiming and sneaking went away after I found the appropriate upgrades that vastly improve each attribute.

The story is presented gorgeously throughout and even though I figured out who #1 was before the end I had no idea it would end with such a cliff hanger. Is the team who made XIII even still around to do a sequel? I know it didn't sell that well and wasn't critically acclaimed but like P.N.O3 I think it is one of the sleeper games that you have to dig into to appreciate. I would love to see a sequel where they improve on that formula and continue the story.

Yeah I didn't like it at first but I kept with it and it and paid off BIG time. There are some things I would change but the attention to detail in a lot of ways that most FPS's ignore is what makes this game shine. Sneaking up on someone and taking a hostage works almost exactly like MGS2 except you cant reload the gun in your hand (as you need 2 hands to reload) keeps it balanced. The flashbacks in story mode are done excellently and the bosses are fun to fight because their regular humans just with powerful weapons. I also like the fact that in order to get an enemies body armor or helmet you have to take him out without shooting them off which brings a lot of strategy when deciding who to shoot up or who to take out with a neck snap or arrow in the neck. The AI is pretty much pattern based but its still difficult defeat it at times. I just wish there was slightly better hit detection (shooting guns out of hands ect.) and more death animations.

Oh yeah ease-dropping on guards is HILARIOUS! Remember the one guard in the Military Camp who thought he was on American Idol and sang a 3 MINUTE SONG and it was GOOD? Stuff like that is what makes XIII a cut above average into very good imo. If they improve upon the first game (more solid engine and better cel-shading) then it could become one of the better FPS's of this gen. Multiplayer is Average but the Bot AI is is some of the best I have seen because they really do work as a team covering eachother and staying in attack formations. Definitely underated for the FPS genre. Single player is the closest thing to Goldeneye this generation period.

It definitely did have potential...It turned out all right, not amazing, but it was something that you might remember. Surprisingly, the multiplayer wasn't that bad either, with bots and all.
