Windows 11 has become the worst Windows in MS history.
Not even ME, 98 or Vista were as bad as this. With so many bugs. So many broken updates. So much bloatware and spyware.
Vista was well-finished, with no apparent bugs. Its only problem was that it was ahead of what computers of the time could run and the fact that many manufacturers were slow to update the drivers.
To this day, it remains one of the most beautiful operating systems ever released.

Vista remains the best looking Windows so far. While Windows 8.1 is the fastest and most optimized version, I miss it...
I still remember testing Windows 8.1 and seeing that i was faster than 7, in CPU bound games, by around 5%.
If it wasn't for the awful UI, Windows 8 could have been one of Microsoft's best. But that UI was just so terrible and unintuitive.
They improved UI a lot with W10 but system speed and responsiveness was worse again...
It's being reported by other places so it doesn't seem to be shenanigans.Either the URL is broken or they deleted the article. Some shenanigans may be afoot here.
Pretty sure that Win8 is when the MS store came in. It's when they started with UWP as well.Because of the bloatware and spyware.
Windows 10 was the OS that came with the Microslop Store by default and a ton of pre-installed apps. And a lot of spyware.
All of the issues of Windows 11 , started with Windows 10. And were then amplified.
I dread the thought of how much crap Windows 12 will be.

Still it had a lot less crud vs 10.
Windows Vista was the reason why I left PC gaming. I was suckered into the DirectX 10 hype back then, bought some of the latest and greatest parts to put together a new build, and then Vista arrived. Couldn't believe how much of a fuckup it was, and that was after experiencing the wonders of Windows ME. Months went by, non-stop frustration.I don't think I ever hated an OS so much since Windows Vista...
If it wasn't for two franchises I would be on Linux for all my shit. Fortnite and COD! Two shit games but they call me from time to timeFedora is a pretty cool distro

Look at the typing speed, middle management potential right here. They do animal testing on copilot coding

Just had to uninstall it, why can't Microsoft do updates without screwing gaming up, can't they do anything right.
yeah slightly, not much, but im playing an older game with mods FNV, i don't want to lose 20fps thoughHave you noticed any issues?

The spyware is worse, but I gotta say nah with ME, and Vista if you didn't have the actual hardware bump it needs was pure garbage.Windows 11 has become the worst Windows in MS history.

ME man, I've never had to reinstall Windows more times because of something breaking than in ME. Thankfully this wasn't my persona computer back then, it was just at school.
No performance changes on my end. Updated win11 like 2 days ago, just tested Cyberpunk benchmank and its scoring the same results as before. (5070ti)
A lie being repeated doesn't make it true. They literally rip, word for word the first article. You guys are falling for AI written slop that gets copy pasted at another site. It's being reported by other places so it doesn't seem to be shenanigans.

Zero performance impact here after installing update (RTX 5070) but looks like the performance drop claim has already been debunked too. This gonna turn out to be nothing like usual isn't it...
At least for my personal circumstances, I had less issues with both than ME. Everyone I knew in my personal life, and the computers at school just had annoying problems with ME. More frequent crashes, and I also think hardware and software compatibility issues were worse at its launch, especially because they got rid of real-mode MS-DOS access if I remember correctly.ME was the 9x Windows that gave the fewer issues. Mind you, not zero, not even close to zero.
Buc compared to 98, it was bliss. That one was so buggy and problematic...
I also had a friend who had 95 in his PC. He eventually "upgraded" to 98 and he regrated doing that dearly.
This. I never upgraded because of how much trash windows 11 is.Stay on win10
In my opinion it would be fine if they didn't break it every few months with updates..

Well that certainly puts my mind at ease. I thought I would just be dropping a couple of frames. The Update is causing issues with Outlook Classic, Azure Virtual Desktop and desktop.ini in File Explorer, as well as Black Screens on both AMD and Nvidia GPUs.
source: Windows 11 KB5074109 issues: black screen, freezes Outlook POP, breaks Azure Virtual Desktop, LocalizedResourceName (desktop.ini)
