Disable the TPM in your BIOS.So how do i avoid that?! I let other people do the lab rats for M this time.
well don't get it? you're the one coming in saying stupid shit to try wind people up but u be u.Sure thing Bill Gates. No reason to get it now tho but u be u.

The what now?!Disable the TPM in your BIOS.
If you're not being sarcastic, it's the "Trusted Platform Module". Either it's a physical chip that's attached to your motherboard, or what's more likely is a setting in your bios because of firmware that basically acts the same. If you turn it off in your bios, your computer will no longer have one of the pre-requisites for Windows 11 and you won't get the upgrade. The what now?!
Hopefully i don't need to get that far to stop M from upgrading my pcIf you're not being sarcastic, it's the "Trusted Platform Module". Because 11 is larger than 10.Why do I need W11 exactly?
Meh, i guess i'll wait a couple of years since window's track record is kind of shit.
At least it will be a free upgrade for a while so no hurries.
I mean, why deal with potential unsupported apps and drivers problems and whatnot.
Beta testing is shit.
Ok, then why even bother? The installer literally tells you which apps/drivers you need to update before final installation.
In fact, you can't even proceed until you've updated [or deleted] said apps.

My 6700k processor isn't supported nor do I have TPM 2, so guess I don't have to worry about it. I thought they'd relaxed the TPM requirement.
Same, there are little nit-picks I don't like, like the lack of customization and placement of the start menu. But I'm sure that stuff will come in an update. Overall, I'm pretty happy with the update, as everything I need is functioning. How is everyone's Windows 11 experience so far? It feels a little bit snappier and smoother to me.
I'm still on windows 7
This is why I'll refrain from installing it on my desktop. Both my laptops are running it happily. My HP Pavilion Gaming seems a might snappier that with Windows 10 after an in-place upgrade, too.Okay one super stupid thing I noticed: if you use a dual monitor setup it doesn't show the date/time on the second monitor.
What a weird omission.

Gears 5 and AC Valhalla seem the same when benchmarking, but Horizon saw 5fps increase @4K. Not sure if that's from W11 or the latest Nvidia drivers. So far the OS seem okay, getting into some menu took adjusting to but it wasn't that big of a deal. I'm mostly a vanilla user and don't customize my UI all that much. How's gaming performance for those of you who upgraded?
