Don't care for the monster camera sensor or the LTE, but damn the nerve of them releasing version 2 of the same phone a couple months after the first one.

Meh, it'll be about 5 months when the Titan 2 launches. Not as annoying as the Android pace. They hit you with an original, an lte version, an HD version, and a white version within a few months.

But I want it to be visible that I’ve got a better phone than those with the original Titan (If I go for the Titan II that is).

It's still odd they are trying to play the android game.... never suited wp7 because our phones are not screwed over by subsequent updates.

I'll be interested to see what the 900 ends up being (sounds like we know pretty close). Also its a pretty big failure to have all these devices on at&t. at&t does have a ton of subscribers but only targeting 80 million subscribers is a huge issue. Really should have had one phone on at&t and the other on verizon. Now they are going to have to compete against each other for sales.

the megapixel-peen race is bad at any sensor size, more so at mobile phone size.

Yeah but

Peter Chou said the handset was a showcase of HTC’s promise to the mobile lifestyle and was “Titan II is packed with image technology”.

The camera will feature a fast wide-angle lens (f2.6, 28mm), autofocus, and dual LED flash, red eye reduction, image stabilization, a panorama mode for landscapes, and a burst shot mode for sports or kids.

The camera has a dedicated image processor and a back-illuminated sensor for low light sensitivity.

I think the Titan II's camera will surprise us. The Titan's camera is concidered to be the best WP camera by some. I can only imagine the TII's camera to be better.

Well they were bound to announce a 4G LTE phone and the II in Titan II gives it a psychological advantage.

As spotty as AT&T's network can be, I don't really mind that I'll miss out on the LTE for now with the Titan II. Same deal with the 16mp camera. They aren't really additions that would have made it worth the wait.

That being said, I wish they would fix some of the Titan network issues. My 3gs had 4-5 bars in between home and my job and with the Titan I hang around one.

16 megapixels? Did they increase the sensor size at all because otherwise the photos will be noisier in dark conditions.
