Socreges, I can play tonight around 11 pm EST or maybe earlier. I'll let ya know. Should be a tough test against France.
So, just to be clear, I first have to wait for the two people in front of me to finish picking a country (Larry Bird and BeatBox), and then I pick.
After that, I have to play:
(1) Miguel (3) Paid in Full (4) Shoplifter
each once before next Monday with the team I've chosen?
If any of those 3 guys want to post (here or PM) what night and time would be good to hang out in Lobby 3 let me know. The later the better (before, say 1am CST).

For those who have listed a team or a set of teams I'll just give you one of those if I check back before you do when it's your turn, but if you haven't made a list that guarantees an available team (e.g., you've only mentioned one team), check back often b/c they may be gone when it's your turn (and of course to set up games, etc.).

Waiting on Larry Bird and Beatbox (well, Beatbox had some picks already), and I already have a list in with AstroLad on what I'll get depending on Larry's pick. So, Hayami, if you give your top 4 teams now AstroLad can schedule you as soon as Larry goes.Hayami said:

heh. well i just played dismal games off-line w/ Ireland
0-5 loss to France
3-0 loss to Germany
1-0 loss to Cameroon
on 4 stars.
I really liked using the Irish in WE8, but this year it seems their midfield is just so terrible and Keane doesn't seem to have the same speed. I need to mess w/ their lineup/formation a bit.

You really want them fitty? I'll switch to Germany you really want these bums. 
(note: I just want to go on record as saying i'll always hate Germany, but for some reason I play really well with them in Winning Eleven.)

I think I could let you switch if you really wanted, although I'd like to discourage the practice (especially since a few people may be picking before they even get the game). But before you decide don't forget offline is very different from online. It is MUCH easier to score online and I can tell you fifty and I have had some very good and close games where he is Ireland and I am a wide variety of teams, so they are not dire.
Of course he can switch! It's not like anyone's taken Germany yet, and as the first overall pick he should have the right to choose. Much like a mother's right to choose, Irish Icon's right to choose should be of the utmost importance. I will bring honor and glory to the republic of Ireland.....Astrolad is just scared that I will win the world cup with them, something that wouldn't have happened if I was using my backup team (Iran). Although with my luck, someone between 3 and 11 will take them just to be a dick.

Sure, Germany gets a joke of a group for hosting the Cup, and I organize this and get the hardest group apparently and the ninth pick. I'm going to take back my randomizing idea and just pick first and reorganize the groups. 
Right now we're waiting on Larry Bird and then I think the draft will move mostly quickly. Since I originally said I'd accept sign-ups until today at 5 it's quite possible he won't check until this evening. I've PMed him as well. If he hasn't drafted by the end of the night we'll figure something out so we can get moving b/c I can see everyone is anxious to go.

Lucky for you WE has great training modes and is pretty forgiving on beginners imo at least score-wise just b/c games are always tight and the keepers are pretty decent, even though the game is very deep (i.e., 70-0 in Madden = 4-0 in WE).Hayami said:

Alright, thanks for getting your picks in guys. Fifty just gave me the great idea of bumping Paid in Full to last b/c he hasn't even been online in several days and only has 11 posts (nothing against him, but we need to get moving here and he's creating a big backlog right now). So I will put him in last and if he gets in he can pick then otherwise kpop will take his place.

In most situations we probably won't need them though I think.

Astro, I saw you doing the proper lob/high through pass! L1+Triangle, by itself, does a through lob that is much lower and faster (ie, crappy). How is yours done?
That first game was really unfortunate, btw. Was it a game glitch or did you do something that the goalkeepers skill level isnt high enough for?

Socreges I think the chip lob only really works at a diaganol now (mainly for SBs and WBs. Seems to always overplay to the keeper when you try it on your forwards. Maybe they thought it was too overpowered or something. Now if I want to try to chip a ball over the backline I just stick to a short O pass and add some loft with L2. Harder but it works.
Had fun playing you guys tonight, hope things werent too laggy on your end. Still trying to get the hang of Netherlands, they seem to be a bit weaker than past editions. Plus I didnt know who half my team was at first. Hofu, Farzel Gaart...ugh.
