Ano Natsu 07:

Looks like that's (hopefully) it for
osananajimi
. As Brazil mentioned earlier, facilitator pretty much describes her. I would applaud Jintan for not giving in to her, but then again it's pretty easy to
turn away a woman who's basically throwing herself at you when you're confident that you have the pick of any number of other women
.

The Kitahara thing makes sense now, and in the absolute best way possible. Tetsurou took it pretty well, though deep down we all want
a perverted girlfriend
.

I'm also liking the return of
drunk Tanigawa
. Remon's dossier of shameful video for each of her friends has to be enormous at this point.

They just stole that from Rozen Maiden.

Umbrellas don't work like that...

Why does it seem like Tsutomu Mizushima has decided that from now on, he will only direct anime where everyone acts like bizarre morons before getting killed in gruesome and unbelievable ways?

Hnnng! Hnnnngazawa Kana's voice is just too adorable! :3

But I also like Taketatsu Ayana's voice too. She's a good actress. I remember being in disbelief when I found out that Kirino's voice was also Azu-nyan.
oh wow

damn, that's even better.

Do we really need to censor more words?

Personally I think School Days, Arjuna, Glass Fleet and Blood-C should all be censored in this thread.

philistine!

word.

I just got around to watching the trailer for A Letter to Momo. It seems interesting, like it could either be terrible or great. I think reviews have been good but not astounding, so that is something to look forward to.
this looks great, i can't wait to watch it.

Gundam Seed HD 10

I hope its only Seed that has such an annoying character, she has no redeeming qualities. Age and at least first half of gundam 00 didnt (only other gundam Ive seen). Kira's scream was awkward but the episode was solid, liked Kira taking action.

Well, that's certainly one way to make a throwaway obligatory festival episode stand out.
I wasn't expecting the alien reveal until almost the end, but I suppose whatever alterations this makes to the relationship dynamics beats everyone blushing and acting flustered around each other for four more episodes
.

One thing the show does pretty well is actually move forward.

Persona 4 ep 24
tumblr_m1c9thc9qe1qkj90po1_500.gif

Yusuke delivered yet another great scene, I enjoyed it. I think overall Yusuke, Adachi, and Naoto had the best performances of this anime, cant unlike any of them.

But Im kind of embarrassed by my earlier prediction, I mean
how in the world did it end up being Adachi?! This was just boggling and mind blowing. He just always seemed so out of it and just a funny and goofy guy that it is shocking to think he was the mastermind behind the whole thing. He even worked with the police even. In thinking back there were not even any hints given to make me think it was him. The food girl at least seemed questionable at times and just there, while Adachi was just the cop that wanted to be liked by all. I really liked him over the course of the anime and during this episode, after accepting that it was him, he seemed to really be quite smart and epic of sorts.

Just a random question on something that left me confused,
How in the world did Nanako come back to life if Teddie didnt seem to do anything and was actually still living as well. I thought he had gave up his life force in order to let her live, so shouldnt he be dead as well? Or did I miss this? For him to still be living means he didnt do any of the sort, so ???

34 was pretty much just one long well animated fight, and Yuri's final acceptance of the younger Precure.

Getsuga...

In 35, we get to see some of the side characters, just so we don't forget they even exist.

V6puW.jpg

I'm still sad he didn't get to become the first male Precure.

Just like with
Cure Sunshine, Cure Moonlight gets a few episodes to shine, it looks like.

Erika is so cute when she's panicking, but it looks like the Fashion Club will be all ready for the festival next episode.

So, to be clear, all the names in the previous episode were fine, but "Kanon Gimms" elicits this reaction.

I don't think it's possible to represent with words how bad the writing in this anime is. If I had to try, I would say that this feels like what would happen if a ten-year-old(maybe with a developmental disability?) watched a bunch of mecha anime and then tried to write his own. I'm not even being hyperbolic, that is what I feel the actual quality of the writing is. The way the characters interact, and events occur, just makes so little sense, and is so bizarrely simplistic, that I cannot believe the writer has actually experienced real life in a way that is relatable to an adult. It just boggles my mind that Tomino has been such an instrumental figure in anime history when this is how he writes. Comparisons to Lucas are all too apt.

This show is just impossible to comprehend on any level. The only thing you can do is laugh at all the goofy imagery and unintentionally funny dialogue while enjoying the amazing soundtrack.

Damn. I hated
Kanna's
sorry ass by the end of it, but
that was an incredibly pitiful way to go. I did feel a bit sympathy in my stomach for the guy, I can't lie.
Also, I was mad as hell when they
tried to kill Tayu off--
aka waifu of the forever.

LOOOOOOOOOOL. That ending, it was all: stupid, great with the closure, and hilarious.
Soutetsu wasn't 'but a slave to his destiny.' Akidzuki spares Yuyama, as expected, but says 'lol, this shit' when all is said and done and leaves Japan altogether.
I...don't really know how to feel. But...

Finishing Impressions

Altogether, I enjoyed it; a lot at times, not so much at others, but did enjoy it once all was said and done. Still, lol Sunrise; The production was incredibly cheap--to the point of hampering scenes' effectiveness, sometimes incredibly so, and the show abused quite a few asspulls, but, you know; aside from the supernatural animu shenanigans, I can say that the show was a mature one with effective--if not annoyingly apt of the theme--characterization, awesome character designs, interesting use of time/place, and frequently palpable tension. Would I recommend it? That depends wholly on who's asking, but I'd never be completely against it.

It was kind of a funny attempt at making suspense and drama because somehow characters in the OP
wouldnt be selected to play on the teams match?! Anyway my favorites all made it, Kaoru, Oda, Mako, Araki, Kakeru
.

Between this show and
Rinne
, I'm wondering if writers are capable of coming remotely close to depicting how the average person would
react to the existence of aliens. Everyone here is WAY too chill about it
.

Man, Tanigawa, what a
quitter
. Just make yourself a little more miserable, why dontcha?

The fact that no one makes a big deal out of
Rinon
from the moment they see it should have been the red flag that
Ichika being an alien
is just some plot device. She's
human in nearly every way
for the sheer majority of the show and then she's
an alien
when there needs to be conflict.

It's a romantic comedy. Who cares?

Instead of an Alien, think of her as American. She comes to Japan to take and take, living off the hard work of the indigenous people and stealing their men, so they're the same thing anyway.

I continue to be amazed at how strong this show is. When it wants to create a relaxed summer atmosphere, the art and direction is there to support that. When it wants to create exciting action, such as the end of this episode and the end of episode 8, it keeps me on the edge of my seat. I could certainly complain about aspects of the story, but ultimately this is a prime example of why execution trumps concept.

On the flipside, I can appreciate the technical merit, but Ano Natsu felt so very by the books otherwise. I got off the train at ep 5 or so.

Well fuck you too. :(
Okay, maybe that came off too harsh because I'm still watching it and will continue to until the end.

Edit: To clarify even further, I've enjoyed it thus far. I do not however agree with those who say that it is a great/good show script-wise.
