Coffee Samurai

That was surprisingly good. This is story of a samurai died wishing for a steel body and was therefore reincarnated as a coffee machine then he meets some girl and learns to feel or some shit. It goes for a samurai/martial arts movie vibe, but it's fully aware of how absurd it is and pokes fun at itself all the time. The animation is hilariously bad, but it's pretty self aware about that was too and it's probably one of the funniest things about it.

So awesome.

Does it matter what you call it?
Getting involved with a teenage girl that you've raised since she was a little girl is creepy/disturbing no matter the term you use.

Seriously, unless you think
woody allen is a pedophile to.

It's incredibly creepy, disturbing, and horrible in either case, though ignoring the fact that one is real and the other isn't (and thus the real one is obviously far worse on that count), the anime one is even worse because that girl is actually his blood relative, but as to whether it's pedo? That would depend on when the guy fell in love with her. Was it when she was little, or when she reached her teenage years?

If it's the latter, it's not pedo, just horribly wrong. If it's the former, it is.

Oh yeah, I missed the death of IS. RIP Char.
Char deserves better, yeah...
Thermae Romae 1-6

Oh my god.

This was so good!!!

First anime that I have unconditionally loved since Level E. Was genius and hilarious and incredibly entertaining. Nice art and OP/EDs as well.

Please tell me they're going to animate more of this manga! I need more seasons!!

Also I think the first anime in a long time that feels safe to recommend to people who don't watch anime. It's educational and funny and doesn't really have any creepy anime stuff. Thumbs up!
Yeah, Thermae Romae is easily one of the very best animes this year hands down. Fantastic series, I really wish it would continue.

There's gonna be a live action and you are gonna love it.
We'll see. Japanese actors playing the Romans sounds ... odd.

Usagi drops manga-ka: "hmmm...this manga is making bank. What can I do to extend it? Oh! I know exactly what to do......."

well, if she really wanted to just drag it out for money, she'd just have continued it with Rin as a child (and it'd still be going on instead of, well, over) . . . what happens in the manga might not have satisfied everyone, but it does suggest that she had a Plan (tm).

Kokoro Toshokan 01

Three sisters run a library that almost no one visits. Er, that's it. Almost sickeningly overcute yet i want to watch more, mainly because i want to know if anything will actually happen...

Cowboy Bebop

It's been quite some time since I've watched Cowboy Bebop. While I'm unable to say how the dub stands up today, near ten years ago it was the best dub I ever heard. Go with it, no need to split your attention by reading subtitles.

Here's my two cents on the dub VS sub debate. Take an anime which has both an average Japanese and English dub. Automatically the Japanese version will sound superior since you have no clue what the characters are saying. I'm sure there are native Japanese speakers out there whom, if given the choice, prefer an English dub this same reason.

There are times I wish I had the option for the subbed version. Season 1 of Gundam 00 on Crunchyroll is a fine example. Thankfully the acting seemed to improve greatly in season 2.

An anime, from recent memory, which benefits from an English dub is "Baccano!". It's 1930's, gangster New York, English fits right at home.

Man, pizzaroll! At least explain yourself a little...

In my opinion, the internal structure of a competent studio isn't something you can replicate through funding alone. Talent isn't enough, so the management (and nurture) of that talent is essential. With the type of time constraints and stressful situations to endure in that kind of industry, a tight supervision is only capable with experienced people ready to guide the teams. This among other things that would be characteristic of each working environment.

I understand what they're saying and still think the Japanese version is the superior one (although the US Jet does a fairly good job).

Watching the first episode of Pokemon. I like how there were four kids set to get a pokemon from Oak, and he only has three pokemon; then he gives ash shit about being late.

I would ask why but it doesn't really matter. Let us know if your cry once you hit the butterfree episode.

I usually detail myself, however, "no" works sufficiently in this given case. Besides you did it for me anyways. :)

but I thought the last Shaft shows like Denpa, Madoka or Soredemo were well animated
Aside from Soremachi, you thoight wrong. :>

D: Endless Eight sucks to be sure, but Haruhi is quality stuff! *pout*

Agreed!

Alas, these are dangerous, shark-infested, haruhi-hating waters we sail in. But fear not! Just when you think you will be swallowed by the whirlpool of non-believers, we will be here to answer your ... SOS.

Not much happens through the whole anime, but when the series ended I still wanted more.
Lovely music.
Very mellow show.

Reading through the 1 part of the manga it's pretty obvious that the author intended this development from day 1.

She is 18. It's not pedo or even ephebo.

Just
sicko
. I had this spoiled for me one episode into the series and couldn't stand to watch it any longer after that, though I have difficulties watching anything that depicts a functional family with a loving parent anyway. Too heartwarming.

Haruhi is the last good show KyoAni has made.

I've never even watched a KyoAni show; the only ones that I'd probably give a chance are Munto and Nichijou.

I was just fucking with yall. I dont hate Haruhi.

I did, however, fall asleep this morning on my keyboard, hitting the keys with my beak as I slept. when I awoke there was only one word: "ROSEBUD".

Probably not something moe, so I deleted that shit.
